People use the Flashcard Hero Mac & iOS apps to study many different subjects. Here’s a short list of the most popular subjects based on the over 2 million cards that users have shared among each other so far:

- Medicine (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, genetics)
- Psychology
- Law & business administration (economics, marketing, international law)
- History and politics
- Languages (Latin, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Spanish, German)
- Social sciences
- Music and music theory
- Space physiology (how cool is that?)
- Many more…

You see a lot of subjects in the top ranks where people have to memorize a lot of “structured” information. That’s because Flashcard Hero is designed specifically to go beyond language learning, offering more room on each card for facts, lists, and images. You can also organize cards into topics (to match chapters of a text book, for example).

Good. Room for improvement and update
Aydan2010jorge

Update: 15 May 2017 I have been using this app for a few months now since I purchased it. I like it a lot. It helps to study on the go on any of my devices. One thing, I noticed that I like but could be a helpful tool for the user could be where the memorized portion works. Memorized portion could be divide into two setting or give a setting on how you want to study. Example, I go through my Flashcards and really test my knowledge. I clear all the statistics and see what I really know. Of course, if I get it right I continue on, but if I get it wrong, it will revisit the question several times through the deck which is helpful if I was learning them, but to test my recollection, I would like a setting to put it away as it does now, but at the first time by pressing hard. The system is great. I would like that setting just so I can really test my recollection instead of reviewing it. When learning the Flashcards, the revisiting of the question is great. It helps to reinforce the material. Hopefully, they can add this in the future. Also, moving cards into other folders does not work for some reason. One more thing, it would be nice if the iphone and ipad had what the mac version had when studying memorize if the flashcard answer was cover or could flip the flashcard instead of swiping from side to side. Would be nice. First, I purchased this app for it to sync across all my devices. That is great. I wish that the iPhone and iPad had text to speech. Second, I like how I can make flashcards on the mac and making them goes so much faster. I wish it had more option as in flashcard colors and designs. But for the most part is does the job. Also, this is a big one for me. I wish i could press play and and all the flashcard could be audio. Like a playlist so i can listen to the question and answer like an audio book. That would be awesome. Overall, i like the convenience of having it on the go. Saves space and time. Thank you.

Best flash card app

I used Flash Card to help me study for a promotion at work and it did its job. More importantly I liked how simple it was to use and create. Definitely the best flash card app out there.

Simple app that does what it says—kudos for iCloud support
Theocritus125

This app does a great job of importing files and syncing between iMac and iOS devices. Be warned that it will not import more than 1000 flashcards from a file. The syncing is fast, unlike some unmentioned other flashcard managers. The memorization scheme is excellent as there are multiple ways to study and rate the flashcards that syncs beautifully across devices. *would really like the ability to change fonts

LOVE IT!!!
Frustrated Seller!!!

I'm in nursing school and make countless flash cards but are too bulky to carry in my pocket. This awesome app allows me type them on my laptop (I bought that app months ago) & download onto my phone. Is SUPER convenient to just open this app and study ??????????

Fantastic Flashcard App

I really, really love this App for its reliability, simplicity, efficiency. It has all one needs to enjoy learning with Flashcards, if there is anything missing, the developer is really eager to implement what one needs. I especially love the seamless sync through iCloud, it works great, without any problems encountered. Flashcard Hero also has the import options which make it super easy to import from for example Excel or Quizlet. I definitely recommend this App to anyone who looks for the great and reliable App for Flashcards!

Crappy tool
bearly98

I use my iPhone for everything. I search for a tool that would let me import from a csv file. Found this app was supposed to do so. Turns out it is a BIG FAT POS. Spend your money elsewhere. Further research after downloading this POS, you can on the MAC for another $8. Don't bother downloading the piece if crap for an iPhone.

Well worth the purchase!

I never buy apps, but I am so glad I bought this one! I purchased the companion macOS app as well. The best feature is the iCloud Drive integration. Everything is always in sync. This app just works. I can add cards from my Mac or iPhone. I mainly use dictation to create the cards, and that works great as well. The study features are awesome and have helped me tremendously in school. Really great app and well worth the money!

Great tool!

I just want to take a moment to say that this app (Mac and iPhone) helped me out a lot. Just completed an exam on a PSYCH course I’m taking, and my confidence of knowing most of the answers just seeped out of my pores. Ha! Creating the flash cards were easy as well (cut/paste from my the notes I took on my Mac).

Literally my hero
Brusswole_Sprouts

I really can't say enough good things about this app. I have used it for over three years to study an incredible variety of subjects spanning from Thai, to English vocab, to the foreign service officer test. Most recently I have been using it to study Spanish. The ability to use the app offline is probably the best feature. Studying on the train or where I currently am in Colombia with little access to internet have not been a problem. I can quickly crank out 20-100 cards literally anywhere. The ability to customize the decks is also amazing. I've done everything from simple vocab definitions to geographical pictures of countries and landscapes to detailed histories of historical events and figures. All work beautifully. I would also recommend using the accompanying MacBook desktop app. It's a little more money, but really helpful if you want to crank out a bunch of work at once with pictures, detailed descriptions, etc. I've only used the share feature a couple times, but it seems to work and is a nice touch. Finally, the email contact on the app is super responsive and helpful. I've had a couple of minor issues (which really isn't bad for something I've been using for years) and have gotten quick and helpful responses. Definitely buy this app. It's worth the cost of a cup of coffee and then some.

Fantastic!

This app is amazing but I can’t find a search bar anywhere. That would be useful.
