Flare: Block Tracking and Ads
Flare is a simple application to block intrusive advertising and tracking when browsing the web on your iPhone or iPad. It was built with consideration given to both the users and the content creators of the web, and it does not block all advertisements. Its purpose is to block ads that intrude upon the user's browsing experience, and tracking that seeks to follow the user around the web without their consent. It does not block tasteful and well implemented advertisements that do not negatively impact the user's experience, which allows content creators that appreciate their users to continue providing content and financially benefiting from it.

Using Flare to block ads can reduce the amount of data used by a page significantly. Depending on the amount of advertising and whether or not a site uses videos ads a user can experience anywhere from a 20 to an 80% reduction in data usage when loading pages, which can help keep you under your carrier's data limit. Flare's tracking blocking also stops trackers from keeping your device's radio awake, which will extend your battery life.
