Do not use their calculator!!!

The app works great to track macros, but don't use their calculator. It gives horrifyingly low calories. 1400-1500 when working out 3-5 days a week? That's insane. The developers need to look into research about sustainable weight loss and muscle growth. Just awful.

Inaccurate

Ptszenchantress

It doesn't let you put in a decimal if you have a fat that is for example 2.5, you can only put a 2, and when leaving out that .5 you get an inaccurate results in the long run.

Loved it at first

I read some reviews from months before saying the app was wonderful but the app doesn't let you recalculate some of the macros. It still does that today. If you have the app and you set up a goal and get there that's good! However I did my competition and the prep so what are the new goals? Well with this app, it doesn't allow you to set up a new macro setting. It's permanent, you can't change the settings.

Great app

TheDrchicken

It is really simple and easy to use but I wish there was a way to organize your favorited food

Best Nutrition App

Great app. Nutrition management isn't rocket science. You just need general guidance and something that supports self control. Fitocracy is still at the top.

I disagree with the poor reviews

Here's why, and it's going to sound elitist. So be it. If you're serious about training, not just "exercising". If you know a little bit (or more so) beyond the basics of how nutrition actually affects the human body and more specifically your specific morphology, then there is literally nothing more you need than a beautiful interface to track your macronutrients. 1g of carb or protein = 4 calories 1g of fat = 9 calories With this it's absolutely basic to help me keep track of that. I have searched far and wide for a minimalistic app that does just this. I know given my weight, goals, activity level, and style of training what I need. Most people don't (here's the elitist part): Because a majority of gym and fitness goers don't actually know what they're doing due to misinformation and propagated false images of celebrity; people only exercise to the knowledge of information that is widely accepted and therefore correct to them. And then they don't meet their goals, ultimately and for a lifetime and wonder why. It's because of misinformation. This app does not pigeon-hole you like the other most popular ones that automatically calculate if you have "breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack" and it tells you what calorie you need. It's terrible that you would leave it to an algorithm of an app to decide that for you. This app doesn't do that. It just is. I don't want an app telling me what meal of the day I'm having, and how many calories and macros it thinks I ought to have. I should already know that from properly informing myself in relation to my morphology and goals. Basically: this app is for the informed trainer. Not the disinformationed exerciser. Sorry.

Can only enter whole numbers, and no nutrition info

Moxygrl

This app is very nicely designed however the function just isn't there. Unfortunately you can only enter whole numbers (can't enter 2.4 grams) and there isn't a nutrition database for foods yet, so you will have to research those yourself. I think this app will be a winner once those items are addressed, until then I will be using another app with greater functionality.

No support

There's no way i can find to contact the developer, and no one seems to be addressing the questions we have! I LOVE the idea of this app, but it needs some tiny tweeks to make it amazing--for example, the ability to delete a meal saved in error (from the saved meal list, not in a given day). Very frustrating and for me, not usable.

No food data base

You basically have to do the work for this app. I don't find it useful at all

Could be Great!

This is my favorite macro tracker at its core. I love how simple it is and how you can separate training and rest days. My only requests: Please include barcode scanning and sorting of saved foods! This is a five star app if you can include that without a subscription. I would be willing to pay a one time fee.
