This app is great. I don’t need all of the features, but so do like the presentation of information - particularly the size of the heart rate and intensity on the screen. Since I work out with my phone nearby rather than on me, this is quite helpful. I like the heart rate zones. Unfortunately, the heart rate zones went away when my “free membership” expired. I can get most of what I need from the free Polar app. Sad, but I’m not paying $2 a month for features I don’t use just to get a display I like slightly better.

Good but not without glitches

The Apple Watch has an issue connecting unless I have my app open on my phone. A few times it has crashed on the watch and when I look at the screen it asks me if I want to resume the workout. Which is better then nothing but it doesn’t collect data in the background so between the crash and the resume, there is missing workout data.

I use it it track calorie burned during various different work outs. Usually it works great, but it lags when I’m trying to look at my HR on the the watch in real time. Also, I can’t seem to get the phone app to recognize my new heart rate monitor.

The previous Motifit version was excellent. FITIV is even better. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This app is the one to get if you are serious about tracking your heart rate during exercise. I use it with a Wahoo Tickr chest monitor and it works flawlessly. Developer is very responsive to questions.
