Locking up my phone

Eddie Waldmire

Twice in the past two days locked up my phone. Both times no icons could be used, but noticed Firefox icon was greyed out. Had to force reboot phone then Firefox icon returned to normal. Uninstalled.

So cheap app!

Tianyou Shao (邵天佑)

It’s not so great app than before. Before it was once great app but it change everything to be newly and night mode is not suit because it is actually invert that is not a night mode!!! I dislike their features and not bad design of interface and nice icon design but important is that simple browser with easy to use than more crazy like I confused if I should use night mode but supposedly to be for reading only (original is invert mode). Which it is too much to change everything in app!

Still missing crucial features

DavoColo

I’m enjoying the wonderfulness of Firefox Photon, especially on the desktop. But here’s the thing: The ability — finally — to edit bookmarks on the mobile device and sync to desktop is still not there. Sure, you can save a bookmark in a special “Mobile” folder and sync it back to the desktop version where you can then process it properly, move and rename it, and sync it back to iOS. (Whew!) That’s a non-starter for me. You still can’t edit the bookmark name or URL, or save it into the main bookmark tree via iOS. Safari on desktop and iOS has been capable of this for how many years? It’s the dealbreaker keeping me from moving to FF full time on iOS. My other gripe is the inability to set the app in permanent private mode, or set it to clear history and cookies on close, as you can in the desktop version. These are crucial to those of us who use FF primarily for its finely grained privacy settings. I’m surprised Mozilla has fallen down on this. Come on Mozilla, put some of that half-billion in search income into the mobile space!

Great But Buggy

BuddhaXD

The browser works fine most of the time. Until page freezing into a blank page becomes the norm. I find this problem is always fixed upon re-install. It is becoming rather annoying to keep on doing so.

Absolute crap w/ a topping of Pocket

Chief Points

Too painful to use now, and I’m tired of force-fed pocket integration. Deleting app

Why you no load?

Hannyfranco

Don’t know what happened but no nothing loads completely! As soon as I scroll it’s just blank. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Good update but...

move think

Firefox has definitely improved its UI with the new update. I like the 'night mode' option that is much better now compared to the old that simply dimmed the brightness. There still needs to be a way to edit bookmarks and create folders to them... so that this iOS app is as useful as the desktop version. Also needs to add a way to use Find in PDFs. Issue (as of Nov 11 2017): Sometimes images get messed up when scrolling in night mode. The "save to pdf" option disappears when viewing a pdf after switching to a different tab and back. It would be really cool if the 'containers' feature on the desktop Firefox was added to iOS's version; that would really set iOS's Firefox apart as a great browser. I realize iOS has restrictions so addons might not be allowed by Apple in Firefox; although, those would be really cool too. I hope the developers will take note of this review and I appreciate the open-source and transparent philosophy Firefox has supported over the years.

Great app but a small bug

Ganchock

It's a wonderful app that I use every day. I found a small bug. Everytime I open the garage switcher, close a new tab and open a new tab again, Firefox crashes. It happens every time I do that. If you could take note of it that would be great!

Worse than Chipotle’s queso

Robertgant

Done with a portion of a page of content randomly appearing here and there, whenever and wherever it wants to. Nope, not going to create a user name/profile on your “support” pages so YOUR user base can suggest a fix or work around. Yup, deleting it off the laptop, too.

Copy and paste won’t work

ActuallyZero

I can’t copy or paste in the address bar. I love Firefox and use it everywhere, but I can’t use it on my phone if copy/paste doesn’t work. I tap the bar, then tap again, nothing. Long press and 3D press does nothing.
