This is cool. I've been using it on my phone, and I think I'll get the iPad version too. Nice!

Great addition to music toolbox! Worth every penny!

Works amazing with abelton and loopy. Normally I have to spend a lot of time figuring out chords in music app but with this, it's instant. my daughter can in the mix, all sounds good. Love it!! AAAAA+++++++

Love it!

Ableton Aussie

I write songs and make beats in Ableton Live. I've been using Fingertip Midi to come-up with song ideas and I really like it. I love the way the notes are arranged - it's not what you would expect. It's so quick and easy. I love it!

Having fun with this

Recently got into music-making, when I came across this app. It works great with the software I'm using and even my 6-year-old has fun playing with it!

Useful Alternate Playing Surface

This app is like others in the series, except that it does not make sound by itself; it is designed to control other music apps that support MIDI. This is handy if your preferred synth has a limited set of control options, or you need more space than a virtual keyboard supplies. That said, this puts Fingertip MIDI in competition with some formidable apps such as Soundprism Pro, which have the same chord/grid-based interface, but with many more options. Also, there is a curious design decision to default to quantization, which forces notes to occur on regular beats, according to a tempo setting in the app. This might be better if it delayed note input, but if you play faster than the set tempo, the extra notes are just thrown out, which makes for an unpredictable and frustrating experience. Since this is easily fixed by switching off quantization in Settings, I'm not taking a star off for it, but wanted prospective purchasers to be aware of it. So, in short, good option, but there are better ones out there.

Great addition to playing music

For playing/creating music on an iOS device, this MIDI app will provide another avenue of approach from playing keys in your synth app. I use Fingertip as well as SoundPrism. SP is great with chords, Fingertip for more specific melodies, in my opinion. Rarely came across a synth app that does not work with Fingertip.
