The kids love this app! It's really fast and a bit challenging but totally fun.
Finally a fencing app for the iPad/Phone. Intuitive swipe controls capture almost light speed action of real fencing. Only ripoff is if you win a Race to 5 in foil, I only got to play a title tournament before it crashed; there seems to be a crash issue getting from qualifiers to tournaments. Fix that and this app will get to the next level.
This is a fun app for foil and épée and it's great to see an app make an attempt at simulating fencing. It would be nice if different computer opponents acted differently, or initiated attacks, but it's still fun. The saber fencing is just awful (coming from a real saber fencer). Everything is just wrong...the game ignores right of way (seriously...every straight attack is a simultaneous?!) the only two attacks the computer uses are just weird (one being a point attack), you can't control the orientation of your saber very well at all (ex. No disengages), and you can't parry like you would in real life. I just gave up on saber fencing in this app.
My 10 year old son wanted me to buy this for him. So I did. He enjoys playing it but he says "I wanted it so much that I forgot about all the lagging." So he just thinks that the other fencer should move more fluently.
Love this game, however I do not like the saber feature. Reflexes, reflexes, reflexes is what this game is all about and I love it. Never fenced but it seems to me to be like boxing. Nice app if your into sports. IN CLOSING I WOULD LIKE TO SAY - UN GUARD!!!!!!
It is a good idea but the game quality is not worth the money. I tried playing foil but it's just a bunch of parry and reposte and no other moves besides lunge. Unless they update it id say don't waste your money!
