KEY FEATURES
• PDF & JPG. Scan any printed or hand-written text and save scans to JPEG images or cross-platform PDF documents.
• BOOKSCAN TECH. Enable the Book mode in your camera and take snapshots of facing book pages. BookScan will split the opposing pages into two separate images and correct any distortions and lighting defects. It will then unbend any curved lines as if you pressed the book against the glass of a conventional scanner. (Premium account and Internet required)
• OCR. Recognize text (OCR) on scans in 44 languages (including Latin, Cyrillic, and CJK alphabets) and choose from among 12 output formats (docx, pdf, txt, and more), preserving the original document formatting such as lists, tables, and headers (Premium account and Internet required)

Today I scanned my document to store in iCloud. With a touch of a button ( open up your camera on an iPhone) take a picture, crop the picture to your desired results and now your document is stored in a safe place and can be sent from a smart phone either by email or text message given your choices in regards to what device you have.

I loved this program. Easy to use and fast to email. ABBY just ruined it. Just use the Notes feature built into Apple iOS instead of dealing w the hassle of very brief trial and being locked out of the program when you need it. ABBY should have used built in advertising... not blocking all usage.
Now I have to pay for it??

This used to be my go to app for the longest time ever but last night it randomly said I have zero documents and I need to pay. Im not happy. Going elsewhere now.

I own a scanner, but if I’m only scanning a few pages this app has been to be my go-to for years. I’ve loved it. But after this update the scanner becomes locked behind a paywall after scanning a few pages. As another reviewer has said, iOS’s Notes app allows you to scan pages. I just checked it out and it works fine. It even has some limited OCR.

The new update now limits how many scans you can use for free. I’ve had this app for over 4 years with no issues and now I can no longer use without paying for a subscription.
