Review final draft mobile needs fixing

Greatestofhappiness

To company, I very much enjoy writing on final draft mobile. I see more improvement on laptop or desktop. The mobile as bugs that are in need major improvements. Some are: the same way auto save from laptop the writing progress also in mobile, email option, a drawing illustration would be terrific as I am multitasking and want to learn how to animate my story, needs fixing on crashes and freeZes when it’s more 19 pages. I’m waiting for new final draft 13. Thank you.

Awesome app

Mr Lanier

I have zero complaints about Final Draft.

FULL OF BUGS!

Waste of time and money!!!!

Overall Good

Overall this works well. However, it’s difficult to work in more than one draft at the same time in the app. There’s a much greater functionality on the desktop/laptop version.

Many Bugs and Issues

I’m having a lot of crashing and I’m using a brand new iPad. The same goes for my iPhone.

Something happened

This was a great program until it just stopped working.

Tons of bugs on iPad Pro. Lots of features missing

gsabloff

Suuuuper buggy. Get it together guys. It’s a word processor, not rocket surgery. No idea why you chose to streamline the features on the iPad version. Did you think we wouldn't need them? I’m trying to re-write my script on location. There’s no definitive tutorials online that I can use, I’ve googled it and nothing comes up. Have to resort to asking questions in forums. The finger drag to select is ludicrous. The page scroll is way too fast and it’s super twitchy. No other way to select large chunks of your script and move them around.

Unfortunately corrupting files and title pages

HOLDERofFOOD

My title pages are getting glitched so that they appear half off the screen on my M1 pro iPad 11. I’m also having issues where some files I’ve created on iPad cannot be opened on my windows 11 pc using the desktop version of the latest final draft. I’m wondering if this is related to the title page issue, as in some cases I’ve noticed that files with properly working title pages will open in my pc. I’m not sure though. On iPad I work directly off iCloud saved files, not sure if that’s related too. Nonetheless it’s extremely frustrating not being able to switch ecosystems back and forth. I have several scripts trapped on iPad, best I can do is export as PDF and have the desktop version import them full of formatting errors I’ll have to spend a pain in the butt amount of time correcting all the time. Super unfortunate. Just to add, I spoke to support and they were able to open the corrupted files on their apple computer and re export or whatever as a new file which then worked for me. If they could add the file repair/export feature to the iPad version maybe that would help. Welp I’m on windows so I’m stuck. Super disappointing.

Ruined my script with glitches galore

Myke K.

When I inserted some extra dialogue between descriptions during a rewrite it kept screwing up the format and I kept losing material. After finally cleaning it all up, I closed the app. When I opened it the next time everything was destroyed, sentences doubled or moved into dialogue spots— I wish I could attach a screenshot here so everyone can see what it did. I lost a lot of irreplaceable work and had to start from scratch. I had always used Movie Magic from Write Bros and this phone app was my first experience with Final Draft. It also freezes when I attempt to save and when I reenter the script it’s all gone. Unforgivable, will never use it again.

It crashes a lot

Whenever I try to change a line type it crashes. Pretty disappointing.
