$6 and doesn’t function

Paid $6 and all it does is say “Warning! Connection timeout” for every function. I reached out to the developer for help. Waiting on a response...

Ridiculous

Veronica Anne W.

It's nice that I spend 30 minutes editing a photo and then lose it because clicking done doesn't actually save anything. What a great feature.

Useless

Cleo Lazuli

Ever since the update it doesn’t save photos

Average Effects at best, awful user friendliness, excessive downloading.

Originally I was trying out the regular Filterloop app. It has some really neat and adjustable effects / settings, however the immediate bombardment of ads got to me within seconds. The developers are pushing hardcore for you to sign up for their $4.99 a WEEK subscription plan (pushing a $20 a month total), which is laughable to ask that much for a phone app. I heavily use the Adobe photoshop and Lightroom full computer software, which both come combined for less than $10 a month. So I immediately stopped using it and searched for an alternative. Low and behold, Filterloop Pro was there, which advertises a far more agreeable $6 single pay fee for the whole app. I figured it must be some sort of huge oversight, seeing as the regular Filterloop is so outrageously spendy. So I purchased it without fully looking up information on the app, seeing that the photos looked almost identical to the original. To my huge disappointment, I discovered this app offers only the bare minimum average functionality and effects that are found in most all other photo editing apps, and it doesn’t have a massive amount of the effects I was drawn to in the original app. Even worse, it starts you off with only a small handful of effects and filters, forcing you to manually open and download each and every single pack of effects and filters. It drove me crazy. Did the developers not think of putting in a Download All button or something? I spent over a half an hour just opening filter packs, waiting for the app to finish loading, clicking download, the app dumps you back at beginning of the the filter list screen, I would scroll back to where I was, open the next filter pack, wait, download, dump, scroll, repeat. Over and over. An app shouldn’t make your blood boil within the first half an hour of buying it. That should be common sense, that is if you want the user to fully attach to the app and desire to use it more. Sad to say, I will not be using this app at all. I already have a half dozen other apps that are far more user friendly and don’t require a ton of additional downloads. I’m heavily disappointed, as I feel a bit dooped, thinking that with this version being the “PRO” version of Filterloop, I was going to get the same functions as the standard app. I’ve never bought an app that I haven’t gotten my money’s worth out of it, but this one is the first. I’d ask for a refund but I doubt that will happen. To future shoppers looking into this app, look elsewhere. Afterlight, Enlight, The Photoshop Suite, and VSCO are all vastly superior, cost less, and don’t push you to download a buttload of material, or pay for an outrageous weekly user fee.
