Is this suitable with iPhone X?

I bought the device for this app because I wanted to record & share my baby’s heartbeat with my family and friends via fb & save for memories for myself. Yes the description says you can do that with your iPhone. I was able to completely download the app properly. Yet, the phone connection cord, that came with the fetal monitor, does not work with the iPhone X jack adapter, which is used to connect any headphones to the phone. When I attached the fetal monitor’s phone adapter cord to my iPhone X headset jack adapter the microphone of my iPhone was not detected. If you wanted to record your baby’s movements & heartbeat, the iPhone X cannot do it. You need the detection of the microphone to record. When I went back to the website, no where does it state “it does not connect to...” or “it only connects to...”.
