Great game

Loving the look and feel of this game. It's a challenge as well! Having a little bit of trouble getting used to the controls. But I think it may just be an adjustment period. Looking forward to diving deeper into this game!

Good old-school twin stick shooter. The game is demanding, it offers a mix of tactical decisions (like where to move to avoid projectiles and traps) with the need for sharp reflexes (enemies often explode with projectiles than kill you quickly). A bit strange but surprisingly playable. Nice music in game!

LOAD

This was a pleasant surprise on the TouchArcade page! Plays like the old school top down twin stickers like LOAD/RELOAD or the more modern "Binding of Isaac". The graphics are dark and gritty but polished, the gameplay is challenging and smooth, the soundtrack is kickin' and you get to be a panda murdering stuff in space. I don't usually leave reviews but this dev earned it. 5stars. Only minor gripe is sometimes when entering a new room the direction for the left stick seems to get wacky, could just be user error but figured it might be worth mentioning.

Truly Amazing
Jaxcychan

This game is like "The Binding of Isaac" and "Enter the Gungeon" combined. It isn't an easy game, and I enjoy the challenge this game provides. There's never a dull moment in this game, you are constantly avoiding bullets and enemies. This game is everything I expected and more. It is awesome and I would recommend it.

Feral Fury

I didn't really click with this at first. It felt like a clunky DS Roguelike. But I kept playing... There was something that kept me coming back, but I still never fully clicked with it. This last update tweaking the controls has made this a must buy for fans of the genre. It's finally clicked... The added daily and endless modes have added a bit of replay value to it as well. Enough that I don't care that there's only 16 stages in the campaign. Definitely recommended.

All heart

Little nuggets such as Feral Fury shine through like beacons of hope amongst the mobile gaming Freemium wasteland.

Ridiculously impossible

Controls are wonky at best, and difficulty that is off the charts. Couldn't get into it at all.

Binding of Panda

Cheapest alternative to binding of issac. Pretty fun, especially for price.

Not fun.

Okay twin stick shooter but gameplay elements make the game not fun. Tough game. When your character is in the corner your thumbs block the view and you get hit by bullets. Rooms are small so it is challenging to dodge bullets. Touch controls work pretty well but sometimes misfire. When you enter a room you are moving it will move in a random direction and sometimes you spawn on top of an enemy and take damage. Several things make the game less dun imo. You can go several stages without even seeing a gun. It's not fun to play a twin stick shooter with a starter pistol. If you do get a gun then you frequently run out of ammo. There is also a significant delay before you start firing. The blue keys are scarce and if you have an okay gun and okay helmet then you feel reluctant to open the chest -- supposed to be a great thing to open but you could get trash and waste the key. You should get a choice of several items. The helmets have okay effects but you only get one. And if you want to upgrade all of your stats you must permanently lose 2 hp which is 20% or so. I want to feel like a powerful character not a gimped character. There is no way to have a character build or min/max anything since everything is random. This game has many bad rng elements. Another thing is that nothing is explained. Pay 15 coins for some item you don't know what it is? An item increases crit damage - by how much? Increases damage the more coins you have - how much? Your have no way to understand your damage or stats in a meaningful way since there is no in game stats or explanation of anything. After you beat the game you get a more challenging mode. But you can't go back to the normal mode. And you start with health missing?!? Have you ever played a game where you start with health missing? The devs make the game more challenging just for the sake of it at the expense of fun. There is a daily challenge mode where you can compete against other players which is nice. Bosses are interesting. Overall I would definitely recommend Neon Chrome over this game.
