FINALLY!

Ok guys, we got a desperately needed good one! I am a hidden object complainer, and even I liked them! More like mini-game/hidden object hybrid. Beautifully done graphics makes it the perfect frosting on a fun game.

Fear for Sale - and a Kudos to Big Fish!

First, thank you Big Fish for your quick response to the Puppetshow issue! Still hoping for a fix on that one but the speed with which you replaced was awesome! As for Fear - good graphics, transporting indicated map, interesting story line, collect morphing objects and collectables in every scene. Great Halloween game! Verdict:BUY!

Elfun games

If I had realized this was an Elfun game I would not have bought it. As always TOO SLOW. Otherwise a great game.

No "Fear" Of This "Sale" Price! This "House" Is A Bargain!

To Fellow Players: Just a reminder that you should check out Episodes 2 and 3 of the brilliant "Adam Wolfe" series; they are available for play. I believe that Episode 4, the final chapter, will be released on November 4. I love this series for both its elevated levels of interactivity and an intense, hair-raising storyline. The setting evokes emotions of uncertainty, anticipation, and foreboding as you explore an austere and desolate manor haunted by the tortured souls of former residents. The prolific background animations are instrumental in helping one become immersed within the environment, such as when you read your fortunes as you devour cookies; you light up candles and fireplaces; and when demonic entities lunge out at you from hanging portraits. The graphics fail to mesmerize me; they are visibly subdued with faded and fuzzy illustrations. The coloration radiates iridescent, vibrant, and scintillating tinges, which contrast well against the dreary and shadowy background. You can customize your settings; the listed options should suit everyone's preferences. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. In custom mode, the teleport map transports you to labeled locations and indicates available actions. The HOS are very interactive with a palatable assortment of various types; however, they are ordinary in arrangement and idea. The puzzles are entertaining and a little clever in presentation; you will slide boxes to join matching sides of pictures. Another is the storybook form with the addition of mini-puzzles as you gain segments of the backstory. It's a shame that this developer eliminates the inclusion of a journal to refresh one's memory of the story; ironically, though, the more currently shunned "back" button is included. You have several sets of collectibles, which are accessible through the infamous and formulaic Press Pass; they are well camouflaged at times. As is customary with this series, transition between scenes is slightly lagging, which repeatedly disrupts continuity; there are no other glitches to report. Overall, this is an engaging experience, one filled with the coveted components we fancy, together with an ample amount of variety; it's worth my time!

Not the best

Come on, Big Fish....you can do better. Long waits during loading between scenes. Teleporting map works, but is not up to normal standards. Graphics are okay, but lacking. Okay purchase at 3.99, but not worth paying anything higher.

BigFish, this won't make up for the Puppet Show game! Quality is as IMPORTANT as quantity. What will make up for it is getting ERS to do an immediate update so we can all play a game for which we already paid! How long do we have to wait? On to the game. My actual rating is 3.5 stars. There were many good points but several non-negotiables which made me deduct stars. You could customize settings. The game was a decent length, with the bonus chapter. There were many locations, and at each you must collect a morphing object and a special item, and you will see a star on the map when you have done so. The map was marked, if so customized and would teleport you to the location. The problem was that loading time was quite long between transition, especially in the bonus adventure and I am not a patient person! If all the other developers can give us instantaneous loading between locations, why can't Elefun do so as well? The graphics were pretty but somewhat faded. The game had an interesting storyline, but there was no actual journal. Objectives were regularly updated. Inventory was labeled, interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had some degree of variation, or you could choose to assemble a jigsaw puzzle instead. There were many puzzles to do, and most were rotational stuff but there were some that I enjoyed. At least I completed the majority of them. The game was fun but I deducted stars for lack of a cohesive journal, long lag time in loading, and the gameplay was not as smooth as I would prefer. It was hard to manipulate inventory and there was hard tapping required in the HO scenes. Still this was a decent game, and there were no rodents except in the HO scenes, always a plus for me! Still and all, BigFish, fix the new Puppet Show game that many of us have payed for and cannot play. ERS needs to put out an update STAT! Lynxie sends ?❤️?? to my fantastic DTE, and reminds Dracyy that I almost suffered heart failure from the huge RAT in the Untold Story game we just played. A warning would have been greatly appreciated, and you do usually do so, and this was a particularly bad one because it was huge and in zoom view! So please if you play a game before me, which you usually do, just a heads-up! We always need to have each other's backs. Also DTE please complain to BigFish about Puppet Show. The more gamers who do so, the sooner ERS will update it! Thanks everyone! Happy gaming!

Black River Delivers Halloween Chills!

I'm a big fan of Fear for Sale games. Because your character is a magazine reporter, you notice many small clues that lead you to solve the mystery. This chapter includes Morphing Objects and objects belonging to each member of the Dean family. Your reporter friend, James, interviewed the patriarch of the Dean family, and has been missing ever since. Now you are snowed in at the Dean home, Black River. The mood is similar to living in a Twilight Zone episode - very eerie, yet seemingly innocent. From the amount of time this game took to load, I am hoping for lots of playing time! Buy it now and have a happy Halloween!

No glitches or slowness in ipad mini

Gameplay with varied hidden object games, mini games limited, not too challenging.

Very Enjoyable

If only Elefun would speed up the loading between scenes I would give them 5 stars, maybe one day. That being said, it is worth the long loading to play the Fear for Sale games. This game is genius.
