Ambition is no longer updating English FD with events or any other features. Do not play this game. This paragraph and rating will be fixed if they ever work on it again. Below is my review when it was an active game. Fairy Doll is a more simplified version of AMB's other character creation/dressing/raising games Moe Can Change and Animal Boyfriend. This one is more focused on recycling. You gain outfits for your fairies by a rolling few types of gachas and playing events, and may recycle some outfits for more points to roll a gacha, synthesize new clothes, or buy limited clothes. The issue is the closet system in this app is limited. You gain room to own more outfits by leveling up or receiving slots in events. While this does promote the recycling gimmick, it's far too limited and outfit slots should be given in higher quantities. The chibi style is surprisingly detailed and wonderfully drawn. The events give great outfits and have great stamina timing. But the localization team has changed the original event times which are supposed to be 2-3 weeks long into a month long for the English version, and is the only AMB Eng app to have done this. It's way too much, especially with how difficult it is to get various new clothes due to the gacha focus of the game. The prospect of having only 12 events a year is awful. And it wasn't like this when the app was first released. The first few English events lasted as long as they should, about 3 weeks, then they made this decision. The biggest flaw is for this English version they censor all exposed midriffs and cleavage present in the original Japanese Fairy Doll, by drawing on cloths to cover them up. And there's actually a lot of those sort of outfits. Even though this is a teen rated app now they decided to place censorship a few days after the game launched without any real explanation. This is rude to the players and to the beautifully designed outfits the artists created. What's worse is there is a lot of baiting methods to get you to purchase bundles such as premium and gift boxes with multiple gacha rolls. This is fine, but it causes people to spend a lot of money unknowingly on censored products. In short I give this two stars for being too strict with the gacha focus and closet space, the increased event lengths, and the censorship. I'm an active player, so I'd bump up the rating to a 3 if they fix the event lengths back to the way they're supposed to be, about 3 weeks. I would start to make purchases and give this a 4 if they'd simply stop censoring the clothing, and a 5 if they remedy both.

Sorry to say but this game is practically dead. There will be no more events for the game, and updates will be few and far between. People have started abandoning the game and for good reason. Check the alternatives that Ambition has made and enjoy those. I recommend Dream Girlfriend if you enjoyed this, but Animal Boyfriend is great as well.

This game has a good concept but the lag makes it not even worth it. Scrolling is impossible and the set up is over loaded and difficult to look at. Besides that, none of the pages load. It's ridiculous.
Please bring updates back!!

I'm so sad this game hasn't updated in ages and that I hear they no longer plan to update the English version. It's such a shame as it was so fun and adorable (even with the censored outfits, which was strange) and it was one of the only app games to really hold my attention long term. Please bring it back!!! My original review: This game is my favorite!!! I have been playing for months and never get bored of it. Absolutely adorable and fun!

This game was cute but the buttons in this game sometimes don't really work. For instance I got a Free Gacha Ticket for not reviewing this game which is very odd seeing most of the other games by Ambition (Animal Boyfriend, Dream Girlfriend, and MOE Can Change!) have those buttons link you to the review page where you can write it! The game itself has a far superior character customization to Moe Can Change! and Animal Boyfriend in that you can change skin tone as well. Sadly they don't have a height system like in Dream Girlfriend, which is alright, since this is the third game I believe they've made. Ambition themselves usually have Events in their Apps that people participate in for every newcomer. That isn't the case here in Fairy Doll. I see no new events right now and I am very confused. My only other complaints is that leveling up my character is a surprisingly slow process. Then again, the fastest leveling up process was in Dream Girlfriend so it must be a change that was intended. Overall, the whole Freemium thing might throw me off. The place itself is kind of barren with the occasional users being the only people that give me interaction. Maybe if they pushed this and Animal Boyfriend more, there may be a new audience for these games.

It's laggy and feels more like a private web browser that only has access to fairy dolls. Messy design too. Nice try. :( Really wanted to like it.
