Game Broken Without Subscription
Drawgood

Hi, I want to rant about the misleading description and the dishonest business model of this game: The game starts and the rules are explained. The game (without the game club subscription) is introduced, rules are explained, you play. Along the game you inevitably accumulate Diamonds which are there to be used in the “shop” in game where you can exchange diamonds (that you win in game, not from real $). The shop offers power ups of different kinds. But when you already have no option but to exchange the diamond you are not able to UNLESS you pay $4.99 per month for a game subscription. It’s not wrong to offer people to subscribe. But it’s not fair to MISLEAD the player into thinking the game is complete. The core of the game is NOT available. So you spend time over and over trying to beat the boss but then you see that you can ,NEVER win unless you pay. To be FAIR the player should be informed that this is a DEMO that is not completely playable, so that the player can decide whether to spend time playing the intro levels. It is just common courtesy. It would have been more fair to do either ads every level, or earn players ahead of time, or to offer features with subscription that help a lot and make the game more fun. But in this case the game is broken/dysfunctional UNLESS you pay.

Great game
Bob.Ehm

Great game with a beautiful presentation. Similar concept to Dungeon Raid but with a probability/gambling mechanic thrown in with the line matching.

A good game

There aren't many games like this. Like candy crush rpg adventure

Nice presentation, unique but shallow gameplay
xRsIVx

I am rounding up what would be a 2 star review to 3 stars, because while I personally regret buying this game, I can imagine that some people might enjoy it, it has a creative concept, and features a nice presentation. Those good points aside, after about an hour of playing and hoping that it would become more interesting, I found this game to be shallow, unbalanced, and frustrating. There is not much to accomplish; you inevitably die (rouge-like style), and there is little you carry over after death to help you on your next play through. My main problem is with the gameplay, which I'll explain, because it is vague in the app description: you pick any 5 connected tiles, and then a "spinner" starts and lands on 1 of those tiles, determining what you actually get; Sword = 1 damage to enemy per skull in your hand. Skull = 1 damage on self. Heart = 1 life. Diamond = 1$ per diamond in your hand. Ok, that sounds interesting, but the problem is that in order to do damage, your must risk hurting yourself, and the dice rolls seem quite unbalanced in the enemies' favor. You would think that a safe hand to score damage would consist of 1 skull and 4 swords (80% hit chance), or a slightly more risky (but still in your favor) 2 skulls and 3 swords (60% hit chance), but for some reason the dice rolls seem to constantly defy the mathematical odds and go in the CPU's favor. And remember, when you miss swords and roll a skull, not only do you not score damage, but you also take 1 damage from a life pool of 5 hearts that doesn't replenish between rounds, meaning the game can be over after 2-3 unfavorable rolls no matter what your strategy... And, unlike skulls and diamonds, getting a heart only nets 1 life regardless of how many are in your hand, which makes any attempts at healing completely futile. After almost an hour of watching the computer defy the odds with ill-conceived hands that almost always seem to go in their favor, I am deleting this app, and would not recommend it unless you enjoy unbalanced games of chance with little objective.

Excellent Game
epedemix

An RPG like matching game that leaves much to chance. Having lots of fun playing.

A hopeful two stars
justkristin

I would only give it one, since I cannot select anything in-game, but it looks fun and I hope it will be fixed (or more clearly explained). I get the option to play, and the screen with swords and skills appears, but no matter how I try, I cannot drag and connect five or more of anything! It makes a repeated low click when I try, but no results! Am I doing something wrong?

Love it!

This is a very fun puzzle rpg! Very addictive!

A 'gambling' experience! Not worth it!
QuiteRightLv

I don't know how this game fits into the criteria of an RPG category. Unless buying 'powerups' from an ingame shop is the rpg qualifier? Pretty short concept there. You 'fight', lets say this broadly, random npc names and 'bosses'. Where likely in the 'gambling' mechanism of the game. Your likely to continously be killed by the roll-dice that seemingly favors the npc then it does for you. So there is a constant reminder of frustration of the cheesy deaths you will enjoy in this game. Die. Roll. Die. Roll. Repeat. Reminds me of this pirate puzzler game on the iOs (can't remember its name?), that as you advance, the npcs would always hit you harder and was never a remote chance of you advancing or dodging the npcs. I truely regret buying this game on the sole part of it being categorized as an 'RPG'.
