Only app I ever remember seeing that requires my Apple password to install it. Every other app authorizes with the passcode, fingerprint or face rec. if I did not have access to my home computer, I would not be able to install this app on my phone. Phones, those MOBILE away from home things? Duh.
App worked great until last update. All I get is a black screen. Super frustrating.
This whole livestream app is a GREAT idea and I watch every night. The website is so great, but the app just falls short. The app is very laggy and you can’t go into full screen without turning off lock rotation on your phone. Once you do that, the play/pause/fast forward/rewind are all unusable. If the app added the full screen as a landscape mode I think it would work so much better and be more practical for me as a viewer. I don’t really want to watch in portrait mode. I also wish there was a section that had “current activity” so I can check out what’s going on quickly if something is occurring, vs checking each individual stream. I think allowing comments on the mobile app would also be nice.
Some live cams have something that says live cam highlights, I think you should fix that
Used to work great. Then it stopped working so I updated it. Now it’s just a black screen.
Firstly, I absolutely adore Explore.org and have been a near daily viewer/chatter on the site for awhile now. The good works and support Explore lends to nature and wildlife conservation in many places most of us will never get to see or even knew existed, is wonderful. The best part is by giving us humans a window into the natural world of many species daily life, brings us closer to nature and fall in love with species some of us may otherwise never even knew existed all the while keeping us and animals at a safe distance (virtual). I feel good that I’m not impeding into delicate habitat and further disrupting flora and fauna yet still being so up close and personal to them! Two suggestions — 1. Please give us landscape mode for viewing on an iPad (I’ve an iPad Air 2). 2. Is there anyway to enable comments in the app? Also, I have issues using my explore account as my Disqus sign-in for commenting being that I have a hard time following up on older replies/feeds as disqus makes it near impossible to sign in via their site with a 3rd party login (in my case, I use my explore.com login). Any plans to fix this?
Love the app, but it’s always crashing. Can’t get any streams to stay going without the app crashing. If that gets fixed it will be a 5 star app.
This app is fine if all you’re interested in is the feeds. But if you want to know more about the animals and get updates, the website is hands down the more functional of the two.
