The free version of this educational game offers a collection of 28 high quality animal pictures and sounds (the full version has 100) to give your kids a rich and fun learning experience about the animal world.
This app is designed for young kids, as young as 6 months old, when your baby shows a need to touch everything! The combination of visual and auditory contents make this application ideal for learning animal vocabulary.
In portrait orientation, an animal and his name is shown. Touching the picture will reveal the sound and touching the name will play its diction. We can navigate through the animals using arrows or simply by sliding the pictures with a finger like in the photos app.
Landscape mode will fascinate your kids by giving them access to multiple animals at the time on the screen. Being able to scroll through all animals and touching multiple at a time to create an all new symphony that will enchant everyone!
A customization module allows you to change animal names and record custom sounds and pronunciation. You can even record the voice of your child to show him how he's good!

This is the first of the "animal sounds" apps I've found that works well for my 16-month-old son. (I only wish you could turn off the swipe action for the cards.) Great pictures of real animals, authentic sounds, and a genuine human voice speaking the animal's name make this an effective learning experience for children.

I love this App. I use this app with my toddler class and they love it. They grab at my pocket and say a-mal! There are a few too many birds for my liking (the kids can't differentiate between hummingbird and eagle, to them they are all birds) Also the BIG cats get kind of confusing, Even my son (8 yrs old) said the jaguar (usully spotted - but shown all black) and panther (shown spotted, but usually all black) were wrong. My biggest change that i would wish for this app... that i could make a selection of the animals that i want to go thru (i.e. only farm... to divide for different units)
