Interesting Idea, Not Useful

chrisandrandi

I use a lot of financial apps, hoping to find the perfect one that has all the features that I need and want. This one just has an instagram-type newsfeed for purchases/transactions. And most of the pictures are the same ones over and over again. That’s not really setting it apart from other apps that have way more functionality. Personal Capital has this one beat by a long shot for ease of use and accounts at a glance. Though exeq tries to be more pleasing, I think it’s really clunky with the same photos and colors. And why can you only setup a weekly budget? Why can’t I budget monthly? I do like the geolocation for merchants, but it’s hidden deep inside the app with many clicks. Maybe when it gets out of beta it’ll have some features we can actually use.

Love the app but also have some feedback

Hey, so I love this app but I have a specific issue with it. While our bank statements get classified automatically, sometimes the system makes mistakes with deciding. Unfortunately there is no way to truly correct this, and this leaves us with a closed feedback loop that skews are data to extremities. I think it would be idea to allow us to classify/reclassify some of our spending and make “rules”. Thank you!!! Aaron

Disappointment

I love the format and the look of this app but I absolutely hate how the app makes all these assumptions regarding money spent. For whatever reason it couldn’t even accurately calculate the balance of my checking account which was super annoying. Won’t be using it anymore

Brilliant idea, and great execution... so far

Although there is still a lot more to come and I feel that they are constantly adjusting their app and improving it, based on all the feedback that they get. The idea to me is great. This is the future of banking. Everything in one place. Instead of having to jump around from my chase app to my venmo app to my discover app, it is now all in once place. Simple concept, but brilliant. Excited to see what other features they have got up their sleeve! I definitely recommend downloading this app and giving it a try.

Wow

First time a “finance” app is actually cool and fun to use. Excited to see new features!

Does what you need

Very simple app that does what it promises. Recommend to any amateur budgeters.

No more Mint.com

Simple to use and easy to understand - not like the other complicated apps out there.

Really clean and intuitive

The one thing i hate about my chase app is that i never actually know where my money is being spent. Exeq is doing a great job at automatically categorizing (better than any other app so far) and making my transactions look like the store i actually went to. Kudos to them for making me care about my finances, by making them clear to me!

Easy money tracker

I love love love this app. Easiest way to track your spending and the notifications are super helpful.

Doesn’t have my bank

This app looks like something that would be very beneficial to me. I could not, however, find my bank or my credit card even using the search engine! Can’t give a very detailed review, but that was the problem I had.
