At the beginning they are random (some of them may even not be able to drive at all...), but they can evolve and get better.
At the end of each generation, weak cars are removed from the pool and are replaced by new ones (random, or crossover of 2 existing cars). The better car is, the more chances it have to survive and produce offspring.

These poor cars struggle for survival as you are their god always watching picking favorites watching them grow and fall to their demise. Some cars that you may have thought to be perfect fail and the unorthodox prevail. Follow the lives of the "sharks" never evolving or the "insects" that there are many alike but bone the same. They exist only for your amusement and will die to obtain it. 

I never got to do anything on this game b cause it crashes everytime I push start! I give it two stars for concept though. Sounds like it would be a good game if it didn't CRASH!!!

Don't pay for the "full" version

The full version only brings you 2 more speeds but it no longer remembers the speed you chose as it cycles through the cars. It resets to speed 1 which slows down the whole thing. What a waste.
