I used to like this app until I was forced to ‘upgrade’ it yesterday. I cannot say enough bad things about it now – it is completely useless and unusable. If you want to throw your money away go right ahead and download it. I wish I could give it minus 5 stars. I day trade options and continually tap between the option screen and the chart of the underlying security. Previously, when you changed screens/windows, real time streaming used to kick in immediately, but now, after the first couple of times when it still does, it can take 30, 40 seconds, even a minute or more before it kicks in. I look at the security chart decide I want to trade an option that second, tap back to my options screen, and the price is stuck at where it was say a minute ago for at least 30-40 seconds by which time my $3 option is now $4 and the limit price I entered is long gone and I miss out completely on a trade.Or if I want to close out a position, I have absolutely no idea what the last option price is. It’s cost me $1800 in the last 10 minutes alone. In fact, though I can’t be sure, it seems to me that the option price is running 30-40 seconds behind the security price, like when you watch a movie and the sounds out of synch a second or two. Stay away until they fix it!!
E Trade needs upgrade

The app really lacks in not being able to see profit and loses of past trades. Needs to have all features of computer version.
Just a white screen when launching from widget

Decent app for the last few years, but now when launched from the widget with Face ID enabled and portfolio view as default view, I get a blank white screen with no way to log in. Then I manually close the app and return to the phone’s home screen. Next launch app from the regular icon, which produces a pause then full crash back to the home screen. Next time launched from the icon, not from widget, app starts normally and logs in with Face ID

Unless you have a newer iPad the updated app will not work. Not even the older version like it claims. No more deposit using your camera. Stinks!!!!

Lacking basic trading tools and no ease of use. DO NOT IDE Etrade. Think or swim is 100% better
Montage on L2 needs to come first

Before when going into L2, Montage would always appear first for good reason. Now ARCA appears first and every time an error message appears and it has to be changed to Montage. This is very annoying when this has to be changed every single time. If there’s a specific reason why this has to be this way, perhaps put in a way for the user to lock Montage so that there aren’t three steps vs what should be and used to be one step when going into level 2

Not only are the commissions more expensive but the functionality is far worse here on E*TRADE than other apps. The chart UI is awkward and basic for 1997. The “news” feed just recycles one or two articles over and over. The portfolio calculates super weird so you’ll have to build your own table/chart. Stay away from E*TRADE they are lazy lazy app makers. This app hasn’t changed in almost a decade. Go to any of the other apps.
