I will be using this app to help my students with their writing. It has several good jumping-off points for lessons for beginning writers.

The app doesn’t give you much explanation for how it works once you open it, so it took me awhile to understand how I was supposed to use the app. There are minor spelling errors (e.g. under the “title” category, it reads, “A short, possibly catchy, relevatnt to the essay, word or phrase.” This isn’t to mention that this sentence is worded strangely and more difficult than it should be to understand). A few categories could be expanded upon within their descriptions (e.g. the “logic” category was vague and lacked clarification. It mentions “valid reasoning and good examples” but doesn’t elaborate on these topics, leaving them up to debate for anyone wishing to check off this category). However, the app overall is useful and a good reminder of things to include in an essay.
