In playing this game you will not only enjoy creating colourful designs à la Escher on your own, but also effortlessly master the main concepts of crystallographic symmetry, such as symmetry operation, asymmetric unit, general and special positions.

I just got this and started playing with it. You can make some really cool escher-esque drawings really easily. I wish there were better options for saving stuff besides sharing on web or email.
This is really cool, easy-to-use app demonstrating 2D crystalline symmetry. And it produces great designs! I'd love to see a 3D version of this.
This is an iPhone app ported poorly to the iPad. Two mains complaints: First, the standard screen size is iPhone size, and while you can magnify the size, it is just a stretched and pixelated view. Second, while you can call the art style Escher-esque, it is an injustice to associate a lackluster concept like this to the brilliant art of Escher. An app that creatively uses the art of Escher this is not.
