LOVE!

Elube7777

As an educator of PK-k I LOVE this app and the desktop version!!! It has all of the required head start and state funded pre-k readers and a free printables section for educators. The read to me books are awesome and you can pause them to teach the concepts as you go! You can also add your students and share the website with parents for at home reading. Kids today love anything electronic so it keeps their interest better than the actual books sometimes. Highly reccommend!

I can't believe you have to pay ....

Bad app??????

Why isn't there an x so people can get out of the free month pop up? I mean is it really necessary?!! Don't get the app. It is just a waste of time unless you are willing to pay 5 dollars a month☹️

The absolute best App ever!!

J Herr

I use this app multiple times daily in my classroom, as well as at home with my 5th grade daughter. There are tons of AR books for all students levels, as well as books that are read to the student, which is extremely helpful for my struggling readers in Special Education. I love love love this app!!

False advertising

This app is NOT free......

Makes you jump through hoops...

IPhoneFunTimes

It tries to hook you by making you personalize things up front only later to find out it can't do anything unless you make an in-app purchase.

Changes

DiDeTu

I used this application almost the whole last school year, every day, for my son's reading log and I loved it! And I still love it, but.... He had to read every day for at least 20 minutes and when he was done, I was able to check, on the Epic's "parent profile" that I have in my phone, how many minutes he's read. Well, over the summer, so many application updates, made this feature unavailable. I was also able to see on a graph line of the book he's reading how much he's into the book: 30%, halfway, almost done, etc. now, I'm only able to see all these things on my son's profile, not on the parent profile. I needed to switch to my son's profile, in my phone, in order to check his daily work. Then, there is no sense to have a parent profile.

Perfect App for Special Needs kids

Reading Buddies

I am a reading intervention teacher working with K-5 students. The app allows me to find interesting books for all my kids at their reading levels. Love the read to me function and all the non fiction. Absolutely the best resource I have found and free for educators. Thank you, Epic!

Great app! $ well spent!

CAMJ's iPhone

Fantastic app, even includes the classics. Really fun feature is some books are turned into animated videos so after or instead of reading a story they can watch it. Earn badges as incentives which my eight year old loves. Suggestions and grade levels make it easier for them to chooses. I'll be saving a ton of money at the school book fair and the monthly scholastic orders!

It's a good start

Maybe I'm old school, this seems like it could be a really fun and easily accessible app. The concept is spot on, and I agree the ease of use of the app vs. checking out an e-book through my local library's portal is a plus. There is a decent variety of quality literature for our little ones, and it's fun to explore the endless adventures for them to read. However, the reward system (badges/achievements) turned me off. The reward is in kids' self-motivation of wanting to read in and off itself, why do you need a sparkly visual to detract from and shift the focus of the reward being some fake carrot in the form of "badges"? Sigh.... we should stop discounting that children have a natural voracious drive to learn, no need for external motivation. I would love an option to turn the badges feature "ON/OFF." This opt-out feature would be respectable. Cheers, I applaud your great efforts!
