Eos 2

A long-time studio standard, now finally available for iOS! This is a direct 1:1 port of Audio Damage's Eos 2 desktop plug-in, identical in every way to the Eos you know and love. This download includes an AUv3 App Extension for use in AUv3-savvy hosts like AUM, AudioBus, GarageBand, Cubasis, and Auria Pro. Also included is a stand-alone application with Inter-App Audio.

Eos 2 consists of four high-quality custom-designed reverb algorithms, made with the modern production environment in mind. Three different plate simulators and our own Superhall algorithm give you a broad palette of reverb, and the easy-to-understand interface makes adjusting the algorithms to suit your track incredibly simple.

Want a traditional dark plate reverb? Eos 2 can do that. How about a short, dense room sound for your drum buss? Not a problem. But where Eos 2 really comes in to its own is when you drop Superhall on your piano or synthesizer tracks. The incredibly long modulated hall sounds of Eno-style ambience are where Eos 2 thrives, something that is not possible with convolution 'verbs.

Features

> Four reverb algorithms designed for Audio Damage by ValhallaDSP, including three separate plate algorithms and our own unique SuperHall, a rich, densely modulated, extra-long hall algorithm designed for ambient and synthesizer music.

> Full control over the reverb early reflections and tail, with modulation and equalization control, to sculpt the density and tonal characteristics to your needs.

> All presets from the desktop version included, and you can even share presets among all versions of Eos 2 using the copy/paste mechanism.

> AUv3 and IAA standard.

> Note that Eos 2 is a dense, heavily modulated algorithmic reverb, and as such may be somewhat heavy on the CPU, especially on older devices. For best results, use a single instance as a send.

Most incredible and lush sound

I am fortunate enough to own the EOS euro rack module as well as the amazing desktop plugin. When I saw EOS for iOS I didn’t hesitate for a moment to make my purchase. Of all the lush style reverb plugins EOS does the best job. Beautiful sound, gorgeous interface, and easy to adjust. Infinite setting is incredible!

Wondering if I can get a refund...

Just purchased this app. I diownloaded it. I attempted to open it. I was prompted to let it use my mic. I did. Then it opened to an all black screen for split second and closed out. I tried again. Same thing. I deleted the app and downloaded it again. Same thing. I powered down and powered up my phone. Same thing. I checked the compatibility. IOS 9.3+, check. iPhone, check. Is there something I'm missing? I feel like all I'm missing is the money I spent on this app, at this point. I'd love to hear from the developer.

Clean look....but no longer saves user presets.
Forced to choose a Nickname

I will give it one star since even AUM will not state save my user presets. If you solve this issue, I will give it 4. This hasppened with the new user interface and there has not been an update in 6 months.

Pure class!

I’m in a situation right now where I’m isolated apart from my DAW because of coronavirus. I do have my iPad, and so piece by piece my challenge is to replace my old workflow with apps. Reverb was one of the first things on the agenda. First try, knocked it out of the park. Read a few reviews and heard EOS was the one, gave it a go, no regrets! I don’t miss valhalla or too much at all. This unit satisfies. I’m using the plate and the hall, it covers all my bread and butter needs and gives good results without unnecessary parameters. Straightforward to dial in, sounds class. 100% satisfied.

Glitchy and crashes on iPad Pro 2017 10.5

This thing sounds great, I want it work real bad but I can deal with every 30 minutes or so give or take I have to reload the app. Different issues happen, sometimes a hanging note randomly appears, sometimes sound will just stop coming through it, or some form of extreme bit rushing all of a sudden. Can’t afford for that happen during a live set so this is unusable for me. None of my other music apps have these issues. Only EOS

Doesn’t function with IPad Pro 2020

The app immediately crashes when its open on iPad Pro. iPad users BEWARE! Oh and also.... I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Though...

The reverb it generates is phenomenal - it has a lot of issues with GarageBand. 5 stars though because this could be GB’s side of things. And maybe the app is too large for my iPhone 6. It crashes the audio playback every now and then. Anytime GB “optimizes performance” the app shuts down and your forced to reload and reset the settings. Rather frustrating however the reverbs generated from it it is the best I’ve heard on iOS.

Works fine, excellent options.

Using this in AU mode on AUM, on ipad pro with ios 11.4. I still don't understand all the parameters, but i can get lush hall reverbs, strong reverse reverbs and gate reverbs within seconds. Its onboard patch library seems unable to save, but AUM's backup does fine. Money well spent!

The best reverb app for IOS but!
NestorLeiva503

I think this app is amazing, I’ve played live with bias FX and eos 2 but, if you are not using eos 2 all the time it stops. Maybe it needs keep going in 2nd plane and also it needs MIDI controllers and turn on and off when you are in other app. Hopefully that makes sense for the developers.

The next best thing to having a Valhalla Reverb
ChamberSpringPlateDigital

I’m a devoted fan of Sean Costello and his reverb algorithms that he has released through Valhalla DSP. As those are not available for iOS, I turned to AD Eos2, which has the distinction of also having been programmed by Sean in his early days. I was not disappointed. While these aren’t 1:1 copies of any of the Valhalla verbs, they share the “house sound” and easily trump the onboard reverbs included with GarageBand and my iOS synths for flexibility, versatility, and quality. It’s not a replacement for a realistic convolution, but it covers the bases for workhorse and “effect” applications otherwise, especially for synths. All in all, a fine and ridiculously affordable collaboration between Audio Damage and Mr. Costello.
