How to sync with my BMW

I have a 535i how can I sync with my car. Read it on engage post that we can sync with Idrive How do I do that ?

Downloaded the app after reading about the BMW integration article on Engadget. Couldn't get past the startup screen after opening the app. Not sure what BMW saw in it. Maybe they have the technology on the backend but the frontend UI is terrible.
Doesn't do anything, bad interface

Downloaded this because of an article I read on Engadget about BMW integrating their tech. Unfortunately the app does not communicate any information or explain what it does or how it works. It just shows a picture of a green car. I guess there's no support for Boston. Needs a ton of work before it is actually useful for anything.
Works just fine.. if you read the instructions.

It's amazing how many people are allergic to reading, particularly the ones that heard about this through a certain gadget blog. "Where does this work?" For now, a handful of cities. Probably not yours. "How do I connect it to my BMW?" Read the instructions. If you don't have ConnectedDrive Services, it's not going to work. "It wants access to my location even when it's not running!" Uh, yeah, because "running" means it's being actively displayed on your screen. Some folks want to use another app while this is in the background. If you want to terminate the app, just swipe it away... assuming you don't know how to do that, double-click your home button. Frankly, it's not vey useful at the moment, because most cities aren't sharing the signal data yet. But it works in a city I drive through occasionally and it does what it says it does, so I'm not going to hold that against the app.
Works great. Stop complaining because you're ignorant.

Anyone who this doesn't work for is ignorant. It is barely rolled out anywhere in the U.S. So yea, no sh*t it doesn't work where you are. Check the map of where they are live to see if it will work. Don't just give it one star because YOU didn't check if it was even available in your area.

Worded perfectly, as Cardesigne said. Great concept and idea, they are the first ones to try this and it'll work with more Beta testing (we are the beta testers!). I'm downloading it now so I can watch its progress as it matures and evolves into an accurate, very useful tool. As for the bad reviews, ignore them. They are all BMW users, impossible to please. They're probably mad because they have to use their turn signals for this app to work its best.
