When you're stuck on finding the location of a prefecture, use the [Assist] function. It will help you to navigate the correct location without hassling yourself.
However you will be added a 30 seconds penalty when you use the [assist] function. If you want to achieve a higher ranking, it'd better not to use this function.

It's fun to go through this and finally learn the rest of the country. After living in Tokyo for two years I've wanted to memorize where the rest of Japan is so now I can.

Very good app. It would be even better if the regions (i.e. Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, etc.) were color coded or otherwise distinguished. Also, the largest cities of each region could be included after the region is complete in the puzzle (i.e. Hokkaido and Sapporo, Tohoku and Sendai, etc.) Just some ideas but maybe one app isn't enough for all this detail.

This is a great way to brush up on your Japanese geography. With names in kanji and furigana, there's hope for the beginner and still challenge enough for the veteran.
