I was not happy with the swearing which I feel was not necessary.

IMHO most of the plots on BFGs are so convoluted that I couldn't care less how the story ends. This one at least made sense. The HO games were ridiculously hard, glad there was an alternative way out of them. I miss the old fashioned adventure puzzle games where there were no morphing objects, no Hidden objects, no clicking around to find mystery items which are unnecessary distractions with no payoff in the end. Guess I'm in the minority because true adventure Big Fish games which I used to play years ago on my PC are hard to find these days.

Note to Izzyoc: in case you didn't see my other reviews, it's a first-generation IPad Air. This game had a lot of good features, especially for the price. You could customize settings and there was a left-handed mode of play. The gameplay was very smooth. The graphics were beautiful, although wintry and the blizzard effects were difficult on my eye. The cutscenes were exciting. I could have survived without all the collectibles. The game, with bonus adventure was just long enough to be satisfying. There was no cohesive journal, although objectives were regularly updated and there was an evidence board. Still I found the storyline a bit confusing. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked teleport map to transport you. The HO puzzles had some variation, or you could opt to play a tile-matching game. I enjoyed the puzzles/mini-games, because they were more like tasks; from creating elixirs, to fixing the generator, to opening the portal, etc. They weren't all your typical and boring rotational puzzles. I deducted a star due to lack of a cohesive journal; the evidence board seemed to confuse me further, and also for the graphics. All that snow blowing around was uncomfortable on my eyes. Other than that, this was an excellent and interesting game. Lynxie sends ?❤? to the amazing DTE!

A great game! I like the interesting perspectives in some of the scenes - the visuals are really nice. The storyline makes sense and is not just the same old stuff being endlessly recycled. This game is making me think - you can't sleepwalk through this one! A refreshing change of pace. Worth the money!

Nice graphics. Confusing games. Some of the puzzles were too confusing for me, so I skipped them. Some were just plain boring, like balancing across a tree, or arranging spikes to climb a pole. Even the HO scenes were a bit confusing because of the hidden meanings in the words. The clues confused me, too, but that's probably because I hate skip scenes and I just jump ahead. Not for me.

This was a solid, we'll developed game. Eclectic array of puzzles and hidden objects, no glitches and solid interface. I did not play the first two games in the series but honestly this didn't matter and I was able to follow the storyline well enough. I did purchase it when on sale and if it had been full price, my rating would be 4 stars - as such it's a great grace but not stellar. I will also say that the bonus chapter was excellent and added nicely to the plot.

Great game but finished it in a day and 1/2 . I always play on expert mode so I was really surprised how easy it was to finish.

Bought it after reading the reviews, actually ?. It seems a perfect game, different from the usual routine !!! Get prepared to be involved from the very first seconds of playing...The only complaint, too many collectibles to watch around, especially when there's such a great story unfolding, and so rapidly. Thank you BF !!! Two Thumbs up!!!
