IMPORTATNT: You should turn on the Russian keyboard layout to be able to enter Russian letters for the Russian-English Dictionary. Launch "Settings" app, navigate to "General"-"Keyboard"-"International Keyboards" and switch "Russian" on.

Designed for Russian speakers, not for English ones. It explains English words to Russians rather than the reverse. Stress is not indicated in any Russian words - this is sorely needed if you are learning Russian. The verb charts cover only English verbs, but there are other apps for Russian verbs. But the comprehensiveness of the word list is amazing. The user gets a sense that every possible English word is included here, just by scrolling a bit through the list from the top. This alone is very useful in a dictionary.

The Russian->English side does not include a cyrillic keyboard for searching ... meaning you'll have to scroll manually through all 32,000 Russian entries in order to find the word you want.

Great program, I use it daily while studying. Those reviewers who complain about the lack of Cyrillic keyboard should learn how to use their iPhones rather than blame the producers of this dictionary. The setting menu will let you set up international keyboards and you can toggle through them with a single tap. I would like to see definitions included with the perfective verbs instead of just providing a reference to the imperfective in order to find the definition. Otherwise an excellent reference.

As another reviewer said, on screen Cyrillic keyboard can be activated directly on the iPhone, it doesn't have anything to do with the application itself just your own settings. I like that this application quickly suggests words and phrases based on your entry. This app also has a more than adequate number of entries in the dictionary (35,000 Russian, 66,500 English) and all are accessible without an internet connection. Excellent and useful app.

This program is pretty good. It has a nice, stable interface, and is very useful. The dictionary has most common words in it, but an update with more would always be nice...

Привет! For those of you complaining about the lack of Cyrillic keyboard, there are international keyboards built into the iphone, you just need to turn it on in your system settings!!! Видищ? Just got this app. So far seems to be very comprehensive! I look forward to improving my Russian.
