So I learned all my basics for HTML and CSS through Encode (the previous name before Knowin) and I have to say I loved the interactive, hands-on, you-type-it mode that It had. But don’t get me wrong, this app is still very good at teaching the basics for coding in any of its available subjects. But just as someone who still remembers the very interactive mode of Encode, I do miss it. Personally it was better for me to type it out than to press buttons to questions. So if its possible to bring this back into Knowin, that would be awesome. Like I said awesome app that can teach you so much, I would just like to see that type-it-yourself mode back. But overall, it is a very solid app, good job developers!

I went through a few apps trying to learn the basics of JavaScript. This one is the best I’ve been able to find. Whoever designed this app, did a great job. They also teach a few other languages on here.

This app is my favorite! I am 13 years old and want to be a coder when I am an adult. My school does not have any coding electives. This is a disappointment, as I really want to learn more. As a last resort I came to the App Store in hopes of finding something that could teach more about code than I already know. I was surprised to find many apps for coding most seemed very basic and somewhat like they were designed for 3rd graders. But then I found this app. I came to learn more complex code, and that is what I got. I do not recommend this app if you are a beginner at coding. But if you are really into it like me than definitely use this app. I love it!!!!! Or in code Console.log( ‘ I love this app! ‘) ;

It reminds me more of a lecture than learning how to do it hands on. It also is hard to understand with so much more reading than interacting, unlike programming in the real world, which involves mostly to entirely interacting.
