best inventory app out there

this inventory has the best user interface and layout of all the inventory apps. I have tried home inventory and nestegg. Fast and easy; exporting reports is easy. They have thought of everything
great start - long way to go

Beautifully designed. Wonderfully simple. However, there are lots of areas where I'd like to see improvement: 1. It is sometimes very slow and otherwise responsive on my iPhone 5. Needs to be more consistent. Entering lots of data is unbearable when the app runs slowly. 2. Once you've taken the pictures there's no obvious way to get them out. Should be able to press-hold to copy/save to camera roll so that you can easily email to insurance adjuster. The export function sent me an email with a .zip attachment that would not open on my Mac running Mountain Lion. The Zip file was only 2 KB, so I suspect that it didn't contain my pictures, anyway. 3. Each asset's menu uses most of the screen to display links to google searches under the headings of "documents/video", "troubleshooting", and "parts and accessories". I would venture to guess that practically no users techie enough to make full home inventories on iOS devices and yet don't know how to google the name of their product to look for support videos. This area would be better served to show additional photos, my notes, warranty expiration dates, related assets (printer for a computer) etc.

Just started using this to document our belongings before a move. We ran into a few bugs with the voice-memo feature, but everything else has worked like a charm! Intuitive and user-friendly. This is a great app to help keep home info organized.

And I have tried others which have failed miserably. Encircle is extremely easy to use. I love how it is photo based, and does not rely on filling out forms. One small complaint is that the photos have to be taken from within the program, with your iPhone or iPad, and cannot be imported from my camera roll. My iPhone takes crappy photos compared to others that I already have. The ability to access the camera roll would nicely earn a 5 star rating from me.

Fantastic app :) But it hangs sometimes synching changes, and never completes. If you relogin or restart the iPhone, you loose all your recent changes.

Thank you, Encircle team, for creating what I think is a very practical app! I downloaded and started using it immediately, I was so impressed. This app represents an important part of keeping track of all your "stuff."

This is the app I have been searching for--for my business--and now I'm using it for my home too. It is beautiful, elegant, efficient, and communicates better than text, all at the same time. The tech support is instantaneous. Paul is a creative thinker and didn't skip a beat when I told him my hopes to use his app in a different way. What a great app. I moved a year ago and switched insurance companies. My agent said I needed to inventory all my thousands of cd's and hi res music discs. I thought, oh nuts, I must scan in or find pictures online for everything I own. I then found this which clouds my iPad pictures, how great is that? It is simple to use and then you can export the list to PDF or zip file. Perfect! Just use the iPad camera and away you go, could not be happier with this major solution. '
