Just try this where your hood meets the fender and check for leakage, you'll be surprised!

EMF Detector

Love it, but don't understand what it's telling me, what are the 3 axis X Y Z how do they show me what's happening?

Don't buy.

I never write bad reviews, but this thing does absolutly nothing. The needle stays at 0. Waste of money. I gave one star because I had to.

Amusing

I was actually looking for something to graph the output of the 3GS sensor to superficially analyze why a real compass will reverse and turn around while on an accelerating electric passenger train. I tried this near a small ac inductive motor for a cat litter box and it showed the promised sine wave. However if I could recalibrate and the scale based on that, the results of the graph would be much more dramatic. Other ac appliances like an air conditioning unit showed no discernable waveform. Also, if there were auto scaling and pinch and zoom options for the graphs and time adjustments it could reveal more detailed information for the information graphed. I sincerely hope this app was developed to allow people to snoop around their magnetic world and have fun versus a develop and forget app.

Ghoasts

Tried it in my naborhooh asked ghoasts To move needle down from 100 and it did

This does nothing

Tried several motors...nothing

Tested it and tested it: conclusion: does not work at all

EMF measurement does not work. Levels in my house it claims are 30.0 microteslas. Levels three blocks away directly under power lines = 20 microteslas (????). Fifteen blocks away, directly under cell phone tower =15 microteslas. In the middle of a completely wild wood, with no power lines or plumbing, or metal objects within 6 mile radius = 40.0 microteslas. Conclusion: does not work at all.

Ooops don't buy it yet

Ok it works. There are others like the a and e free one which stays at 0 and jumps when activity changes and when the fields are an exposure to people like wiring issues and wifi activity... Because this thing can detect metal the needles stays around 4. And when u hit exposure it goes back to 0 and above 7 for metal. Seperate the sensors. The metal detoctor keeps it at 40. If u look at the 3 colored lines you can clearly see them flat as if it were at 0. Turn the iPhone in different degrees and the lines changes . Each color for the iPhone degree adjustments along x and y. Z? Not unless apple makes -180 degrees (iPhone upside down) part of the regular ui framework. -180 is just an extra code jumble for os 2.2.1 and under. 3.0 sdk has the upgrade. I'm not tryen to pretend you don't kno what your doing because you do. visual studio/VB guy my self and critics make the long hours and soda, cavities and carpultunnel make it more then worth it. Make the metal detector seprate and your emf detector will be the best. It can read fields 10x stronger then the other apps. Almost as good as the real thing. Ghost radar is an app u should all try. It said somethings I couldn't believe. it told me where my keys were... I about soiled my self. Good job.

not for the iPhone 3G

Gilric

unfortunately i bought this before it was clearly written that it was stricly and only for the new iPhone 3GS ....since my phone was brand new to me i had no idea...however they still allowed me to purchase it and I now have an app for a phone I do not own so beware...

Doesn't Do Anything

I downloaded this app, but all it does is buzz. It never detects anything. Can't find any setting to check.
