$20 / month for email…

The joee

Disastrous update

The app will grow, leaving the users who helped the app grow behind. Kudos, boomerang team, you've just locked us out of our accounts. Pay, or you shall not have access To remove the accounts and bid farewell. Awful experience from what was once a good email app. Good luck succeeding with such terrible business practice.

It was good until they wanted to charge $180/yr

I’ve been using this email app for over a year now. Suddenly, I can’t use it at all unless I subscribe to the discounted tune of $180 if I pay yearly. $20, $75 even $100 (maybe), but $180/year!? Crazy. I found another app, Airmail that does the same thing (if not more!!!) for $9/year! Way more customization and I can “snooze” (which is the same features as boomerang. I’m actually glad boomerang is charging through the roof. It helped me find this new gem of an email service! ✌?

Pay for emails?

I used this program for a year and it worked great- no issues. Now I can’t access any emails because I have to pay for a subscription? It is sayings it’s a 19.99 a month or 120 a year subscription. Google does all of this for free…

It was ok, not enough to pay

I’ve been using this email app for about a year or two. It’s been fine, although I’ve had several emails appear later- as in an email is sent to me at 7:30, I check my email at 10 and it isn’t there, I check my email at 12 and it is there now, with the time stamp of 7:30. So that’s caused some issues for me. Also I have multiple email accounts and I hate the way to switch them individually is the little circles because I can never remember which email is which colored circle and they aren’t labeled. I have no use for their biggest feature, the “boomerang” feature. I understand needing to change over to a pay subscription but 1- it was really sucky that out of nowhere I had a pay wall and couldn’t get to my emails. I had to spend time first thing in the morning finding an alternative because there was no warning that it would change to a paid model 2- $180 a year?! Seriously?? $20 a month?? You are sadly overestimating your worth, and going from free to $180 is insane.

Surprise! It’s not free anymore

I’ve been a loyal user of Boomerang for years and was totally shook when I tried to refresh one afternoon and was knocked out by a paywall. I understand the need to monetize, but how about giving users an adequate heads up? Also, I agree with other reviewers about the steep price tag, especially when our usuage has helped boost the app’s success. Would’ve been nice to be offered a discount or reduced rate to entice us into going from free to subscription. Again, great app, not-so great pricing structure.

Love the app but not the price

I understand money needs to be made especially if you develop such a great app, but 20 a month or 180 a year is just out of my league to pay. Will need to look in other places the Outlook app from MS is not bad while not as good as Boomerang it's free. Maybe rethink what your rate plans and be a tad more in synch with the times we are going through.

No warning before it’s cut off?!

I have been using this for the past year or so and then all of a sudden yesterday I got a message saying that I had to pay or else I wouldn’t be able to use it anymore. It would have been nice to have been warned for at least a week first that their free version was going away. I use Spark for my personal email and I highly recommend it. I’m no using gmail app for my work email.

Used to be a great Email App…until the recent update

Nice App to Sell Items

I had been using Boomerang for my Gmail accounts for about 3-4 years and it really did help me sort through emails quickly. I tried a few of their features (I never had personal email important enough to use the Boomerang Feature) but the best ones for me were Snooze-ing emails and the swipe to archive, move or delete emails in the mobile app were great and I loved them. A few days ago, I tried opening up my email using the Boomerang app and find that I can’t even read it. A pop up comes up demanding I select a monthly (at $20/month) or annual (at $180/a year) subscription. I think they also had a Beta sale going on to get 30% which would have saved me $50 or so per year but I pay for less for more robust software (mostly for prototyping designs, since I work in tech) on an annual basis. Boomerang, along with Unroll.me going haywire and ceasing to work, is pushing me to look for an email platform that’s a better fit for my personal needs (such as Chuck or Hey.com, creators of Basecamp). Oh well, it’s been a fun ride…

It’s like a ransomware, Outrageous!!!!

sy7711

They removed any free plan and locked me out completely. Don’t even let me remove my accounts from the app. Is it an email app or a ransomeware?!!!
