The point of the game is to get down the mountain in the given amount of time while making sure to hit all checkpoints. In order to not miss any checkpoints you need to keep your bike under control. However, to make it to the finish before time runs out you need to keep up your speed. Therefore you need to push yourself to the absolute edge in order to complete the game.
