EcoData: Radiation

Ever wanted to know the natural radiation where you live? Or compare the current radiation levels in Japan with those in your home town? Then this app is what you are looking for. "EcoData: Radiation" displays radioactivity levels of monitoring stations from all over the world in near real time. Select stations of interest from a map, browse station lists, explore the stations in your vicinity, or create and manage your own radiation monitoring station list. With over 2900 monitoring stations in 22 countries, this app beats all other available radiation apps in terms of "price per country" and content. And our country database is still growing...

✔ Near real time "live" radiation data for all countries (exceptions: data from EPA and the Hong Kong Observatory are only accessible via weblinks)
✔ Customized radiation graphs, with super color coding, so you can quickly identify current and previous radiation levels (InApp purchase)
✔ Radiation maps for all countries including basic statistics, such as maximum and minimum radioactivity levels (InApp purchase)
✔ Color coded map view annotations and station lists with latest radiation levels (available for most networks)
✔ Radiation monitoring station info and radiation levels directly on the map
✔ Monitoring stations sorted by distance from your current location
✔ A favorites list
✔ Information on radioactivity, learn about what is radiation, units of radiation, Gray (Gy), Sievert (Sv), how radiation is measured, types of radiation, exposure rates, sources of radiation, equivalent dose, understanding gamma dose rate, gamma count, beta counts, absorbed dose, background radiation and more.

The "live" data is displayed using an intuitive color-coding scheme that allows easy comparison of radiation levels both for neighboring stations as well as for stations separated by hundreds or thousands of miles.

Needs Updating!
Otherwise happy with app.

Please update this app.

Not working
LahelaB

Purchased 2days ago and app is not working. Please help. Live on Big Island, Hawaii. Only dot is grey and that's in Honolulu. So this app is useless to me.

Interesting app
Dr Scott Scout

This app gives a pretty neat summary of current radiation information for many locations. There seems to be a lack of data for the USA though. Works fine on my iPad for iOS 10.1.1

This is a great app, I highly reccommend it.

Awesome app
Jeremaiah

Finally an app that gives me real radiation data and is not a game. Good old Germany seems a bit paranoid with all the measurement stations!

The best so far
QuantumAnomaly

The only radiation map app I've found so far that does what it claims. Has a decent number of measuring stations listed. You can get a sense of where Fukushima's levels are in relation to other regions. Of course weather patterns are complex and can carry radiation in ways that can't be measured easily, but this app does a good job of relaying what readings we do have available. With this app being so expensive I really hope some of the revenue is being donated to Japan relief!

I like this app but am disappointed that it doesn't show readings from other famous nuclear events like Chernobyl and Three Mile Island. Makes you wonder if the powers that be are afraid to show us those readings? From what little I know about Radiation - it doesn't dissipate overnight. Luv to see an update.

Fail
Superfood Girl

The concept is great. However, I have tried to use this app many times and each time it attempts to update local info. it says: "Failed to download live data". PLUS, after this "fail"...it won't allow me to attempt to gather live data again for another 5 minutes. That being said, this app so far has been useless. I hope whatever needs to be fixed can be fixed... I'm looking forward to your next update to address this issue so that I can write a better review.

Not as advertised
dncr12345

No information for Japan - on map or via weblink. I bought the app as I was traveling to Japan in a few weeks. Waste of money!

Getting better!
