It keeps popping up invalid password. Did everything i was supposed to do.

A bit awkward

App and computer can be more seamless. Different symbols and appearances between the two. The app’s map showed blue dots in China but many are US stations! A bug? Another review indicated credit card.....not true in my case. Ham Operator license required...only requirement I know of.

Doesn’t work in Dark Mode and registration requires a manual paper trail

I found I have to disable dark mode in order to try and login otherwise all the text is white with fields that have white backgrounds. As a new ham, I was recommended to signup for EchoLink. I understand there’s some license validation required, however much of this can and should be automated. I upload an official PDF from FCC - some chunk of code verifies the digital signature from the FCC and reads the call sign from the document. Should take no more than 5 minutes - however the process says 24 to 48 hours.

Works less than 5% of the time

It would be a neat app if it worked. Unfortunately for the iPhone and iPad users it seems to only connect if there is someone already connected to a repeater via EchoLink (more testing will be done). I once spent more than an hour trying to connect. I never did get connected after trying 200 attempts. I know the repeater was active because I could hear people talking on the repeater from my rig on my desk (my rig can’t transmit right now much like this app). I have tried direct, relay, public proxy almost no luck. I have tried to connect through the wifi in my home or though 4g cell phone towers still almost no luck. I can connect to echo test repeater just fine every time. If you load this app prepare to be disappointed. Devs need to add ads when opening the app to get the money together to fix this. Even add advertisements before connecting to a new repeater. Whatever. As it stands it gets one star for almost never working.

So far so good!

I’ve been using echolink to drop in on nets that i can’t reach with my radio and it’s been pretty nice! echolink is a great little tool but it has its issues, if you guys could fix the screen resolution for the iphone x and fix network bugs it’d be the best ham radio app ever ! 73

Mac version

BeaverDan

Is there a version for my Mac I have a radio EchoLink capable but no PC just a Mac?

Can't login? Turn off Dark Mode.

This is still a bug, no text shows up in the login boxes when phone is in Dark Mode.

Fun but...

Pow in the mouth

Got the app, got on the computer and got verified bc it’s impossible to do it on the phone. Played with it some and heard myself on the local repeater! On even told me I was over modulated! This iOS app has one feature with two problems, you can’t turn the modulation down bc it’s tied to the audio output! Weird . So each time you transmit you have to turn the audio down all the way to the left, transmit, then hurry and push the button to move the audio up all the way to the right before the other party transmits just to hear a response! On android, there’s two buttons, one for transmission modulation and one for audio up and down! Number two problem It doesn’t create a button-anywhere. The only way to find it is to go to the App Store and open it from there. Thank God the App Store remembers the purchase otherwise you can’t enjoy EchoLink Until it gets fixed, it’s not fun to play when I’m away from my radio Would be fantastic to see this for macOS in the future
