Reviews

Way too basic
MarkAlt

Great concept, but this app is useless. The foods listed are so limited, I couldn't even find raspberries, pasta, etc...these are very common foods, they should be listed.

Worthless
Shiphranita

This is a needed concept in the app store, but this isn't it. Make a mistake inputting a food, you can't fix it. Doesn't have a protein counter built in. Clumsy interface. Darn, this could have been awesome.

Limited

Very limited database. Going to try fitness pro for tracking. Really need a good app for pregnancy nutrition

Not useful

The database is too limited... Practically useless

Needs updates
MrsB06

They need I update the list of foods. Also they need to let you adjust how much you eat by more than just a serving. I will be deleting the app!

What's the fuss?!
Kristen Aber

I read the other reviews and avoided this app. But I really like apps and I like tracking things so I gave it a shot. And yay! Maybe it's been updates since the last reviews or maybe it's not what others were looking for but it totally works for what they claim. If you are trying to fulfill the requirements of the Brewer diet while pregnant, this is for you. It doesn't track calories or any of that nonsense. It simply tracks if you are eating enough of the good stuff for your little bambino. Yeah, some pretty basic foods are left out but you can enter them into the database yourself very easily. I highly recommend this app.

Great app for Bradley/Brewer diet tracking
Twirr

This app works exactly as it is supposed to. I used to teach Bradley prenatal classes, including Dr. Tom Brewer's pregnancy diet 10 years ago. We tracked all this on PAPER (gasp!) To address the negative comments about the limited database, it makes sense to me. Here's why: One of the main things you are tracking is your protein intake for each food, which can be different depending on what brand you buy, and what the ingredients are. So, the first time you eat chicken soup, for example, actually read the label to get the protein an enter it. Does it have a lot of carrots? Then tick off the orange veggie box. Do it ONCE for your type of chicken soup, and it's in there for you every other time. Everyone makes things differently, so you need to tell the app how YOU do it, but just once. Don't know how much protein in ground turkey (or whatever your quirk is)? For crying out loud, do a quick search and type it in. It's not like you have to look it up in a big reference book like we did in the good ol days (Last time I was pregnant). Summary: great app to support prenatal diet. You might want to read up on the basics of The Brewer Prenatal diet to help it make more sense if you're confused.

Midwife awesome app
sizzlyauercbo

I am a midwife and promote dr brewer pregnancy diet this is awesome. It's exactly what you need to track dr brewer diet.

Disappointing
SpeechieSLP

I hoped that this would help me keep track of what I'm eating with calorie information on top of protein and balanced diet. It doesn't. It just counts down how many servings you've had of each food group. That is only partly useful. My biggest complaint - and ultimately why I gave up using it. The keyboard doesn't go away so that you can select an item in the list after you search for it. Soo aggravating!

Tried to download and modify...kept crashing
JessiRene77

After the first time it crashed I deleted it and re-downloaded it. It crashed again... Apparently it doesn't like you to modify the intake amounts. I was trying to make it more like the Brewers Diet. Oh well, moving on.
