Not what I expected

disapponted in northville

I downloaded the app based on what was advertised in the eat this not that magazine I bought it said “get fit and firm for free”, not true once I download the app you have to buy individual magazines from the app. Needless to say I am deleting this app. Basically false advertising on the magazines part.

Needs an update!

staunchnortheasterner

I can’t exit out of an issue I’ve downloaded because of changes to iOS’s layout. National Geographic uses the exact same app kind for their magazine, and I need an update just like they released to just go back to the list of issues.

Nothing much to it!

CK_Price

Unless there's something wrong with the app I downloaded, this is just a list of magazines you can subscribe to. Was hoping for more than that!.. ?

Deliciously Healthy Magazine

1Fitbabe

This is a really nice magazine. Once you download it you are given a choice to purchase individual issues or a yearly subscription. As I write this a yearly subscription includes 4 issues and is currently priced at $19.99, individual issues are $6.99. My subscription started with 'Early Spring 2017'. I found it chock full of inspiration and information. One article was on 'double duty' meals. I was at the grocery store the next day picking up the easy to find ingredients for 10 days worth of easy to prepare, healthy meals. Another article was the inspiring story of how one man lost 114 pounds in nine months eating pizza! This issue also includes an excerpt of David Zinczenko's latest book the "Zero Sugar Diet". There magazine includes popular "eat this not that" photos, nutrition tips, more recipes etc. I am really enjoying this issue and look forward to future ones. The magazine makes eating healthy fun :) Just to note subscriptions will automatically renew unless you turn that off in your app settings. Bon Appetit!

DONT BUY!

Don't bother-don't bother!

Is this place in business? I downloaded & purchased 1 year (4 magazines) beginning Spring 2017. I've rec'd NO subsequent issues. It's nearly Oct 2017! So, where is Summer & Fall? I checked my subscription & it says it (is on automatic renewal &) renews August 15, 2018! Something is going on! My renewal date used to be back in March 2017, when I purchased the first issue! I think they are NOT PUBLISHING MAGAZINES FOR SOME REASON & instead of REFUNDING MY MONEY, are simply changing my renewal date! I doubt anyone monitors this site from ETNT, but here is a big fat clue for you: I DONT WANT ANY 3 other "random" magazines! I signed up for a year, having the expectation of getting to use them season by season. And I didn't want 2 Spring & Summer issues w/no Fall & Winter! I wanted food advice for seasonal foods for each SEASON! Every other food magazine out there does this. I can't believe I was so "wrong" in expecting this from you! At least allow me to "cash out" w/older issues before you end up ?DEFUNT⤵️ & I'm left w/nothing! UPDATE: It’s now mid November. I just received my SUMMER 2017 issue along w/someone NOW telling me it IS available on App Store. (I was requesting a refund of issues Not received & I was continually being told they no longer sell issues & my card was previously refunded! I asked to provide supporting documentation of my refund, b/c I never received one! LIARS! Now ALL OF THE SUDDENLY: “Oh, the issues at in the App Store”. Only the current issues are NOT!

Not really free

Jeff5131

Not really a free app, don't bother downloading unless you want to buy a subscription.

Shouldn't be an app

m2tynellie

Not a single free story or item. This is downloaded directly to my news stand as an option to purchase a single magazine or a yearly subscription to the digital magazine. Not really an app.

Not a free app at all

James Kiddo

You download this app thinking they would give you at least a taste of what it can offer but nope. Nothing zero. Either buy the issue for 6.99 or subscribe. How about delete?

Not free

Madi_1991

Are you serious? How are they allowed to list this as a free app? You download it and open the app - all it does it take you to a screen saying you can pay $7 now. Ridiculous.

I lost 20 pounds

Monica Farro

I lost 20 pounds using the Eat This, Not That series, and I was so excited to hear there’s a magazine that could help me keep it off. The first issue is stuffed with recipes that you wouldn’t think were healthy—oven fried chicken, Moroccan salmon, sausage lasagna, strawberry shortcake—but are, and the photography’s really elegant. What I like about Dave Zinczenko’s writing is that he doesn’t want you to give food up—he just wants to help you use the right foods to make amazing dishes, so you can diet guilt-free. So it’s just like the books, except cheaper and right on my phone, so I was sold, great value for the amount of advice.
