Works... but only sometimes.

My idea was to use this to stream my iPad screen, which I use for art, onto discord calls with friends. However, it’s extremely finicky and takes multiple tries to get the program to broadcast properly, and will even drop midway through a stream (my friends dubbed it ‘the white screen of death’). I’m only leaving this review after multiple weeks of checking internet / settings / connection... sometimes it just doesn’t work.

Tried other ‘screen mirroring’ apps with significantly ‘better and more’ reviews than this but found them to be absolutely complicated to use! Found this while looking for other alternatives and thought why not. Glad to have this installed! Very simple and straightforward. I use it to mirror my iphone 8+ screen to my ipad mini 2. It works like a charm although screen resolution definitely needs more work.
Alright, but could use some fixes.

The high quality option for VIP doesn’t work well, and the video quality decreases in landscape mode. Also, in other apps like APowerMirror, it streams the audio but mutes it from your phone. I’d love if EasyCast did that.

Finally found something free that works. Currently broadcasting from iPad 6th gen with iOS 14.0 to windows 10, connecting to the app from the windows marketplace.

Set up required app on Mac as well. Seems pretty secure (both devices require authorizing by user(, but major fail for me is the window on Mac – not configurable, and more importantly, for iPad is vertical display only! Too bad..
