It works wonderfully for my Roku devices. They even of different generations! I also appreciate the way it lets me rename my devices. Thee Especially useful is the feature that lets you have a keyboard for those times you need to search. The iPhone's keyboard is much easier to use than the on-screen Roku one. The killer feature is the customizable channel line up. There are even more features to explore.

I NEVER write reviews but this little $0.99 app saved me spending almost $18 on amazon for a new remote and shipping. This app works fantastic and there isn't any setup. It detects your Roku and there isn't any detectable lag between pressing buttons and what occurs on the TV. GREAT APP!! IT WORKS! I wasn't truly expecting it to work or for there to be a catch or something. Nuff said. It works well.

App works as advertised on my iPad & iPhone both. Allows you display your channel list and jump to them or edits. Can name and describe your various devices so you know which one you want to select if you've more than one.

Need an Appendectomy

My mother has had a number of strokes and gets confused with the arrows on all the other roku remotes I've found, both hardware and software. The option to change arrows to directional text makes it easier for her to navigate. Also the different channel thumbnails are great too. Makes it easier to toggle between Netflix and Amazon Instant. Keyboard option makes searches a breeze. This app has made it possible for her to access the Roku box without my help. She feels great about it and so do I. Thank you so much.

Solid + Extras = liked better than OEM

I thought I'd like the new Roku app better when it was just updated. But, this app has many extras, and I especially like the gesture control option to quickly navigate through my Roku Channels. =HIGHLY=RECOMMENDED= Feedback: app deserves better icon graphics, and in purple, too.

Downloaded it and every time I open the app a "network error" message appears and it doesn't locate any roku players whatsoever

Better keyboard than Roku's own app

The big reason that I use an app for my Roku 2 is to provide a full keyboard, which Roku lacks. This is essential for movie title searches, not to mention entering your wi-fi password. While Roku's own app does have a keyboard, beware: copy/paste doesn't work -- the text is corrupted when sent from the app to the Roku device. DVPRemote does copy/paste correctly. That alone is worth more than the 99-cent price.
