Good, but needs some work.

This app makes cataloging all your movies very easy. I had all 73 of my movies entered within a half hour. The many search options makes finding a movie simple and easy. Being able to access the database of your movies online is a nice option too. The reason for the three-star rating is for a few things that could be improved. I find the user-interface of this app unappealing. When a title of a movie is clicked on, you are brought to a screen to edit the information making reading the plot of the movie very difficult. The plot is in a field that doesn't expand or scroll. I also find the "restore" and "backup" buttons slightly confusing. One button downloads the information from your account online to your phone and the other uploads the information from your phone to the online database. It would be nice for the app to automatically update the online database whenever a change is made on the phone and vice versa. The feature to "remove 'the' from titles" did not seem to work for me. I turned that feature on, but still had to manually delete "The" in many titles.

I'm lovein it but I'm havein one problem, Amnesia is one of my many movies and it came up with two options and they were both wrong. Maybe you can add an additional option to find movies? (what about bar code scan) that would make it lots ez'er to put your movies in it.

Bought this mainly to have a ready list of all the movies we own - I often find myself sorting through a bargain bin trying to remember what I already own - and this certainly does that job. It has to be accessible when you're not online, and this is. Entering movies is pretty straightforward - so far haven't entered anything i couldn't find, including some slightly obscure titles. We really like the backup feature. I entered movies, backed them up, and DH was able to access the same list so now it's on both our iPods and if we make changes we can update it easily. LOVE the landscape mode of looking at titles, which I see is an upgrade so thanks for that. Minuses: sometimes when I hit 'back' it just kicks me out. Can get right back again but it's annoying. I like that you can add a genre (I made a Christmas one), but my new genre doesn't then appear in the 'Genre' menu in landscape mode. You have to spell out your new designation in portrait search mode. Also, it's a bit of a quibble but I find some of the pre-loaded genres kind of odd. For example, all the Star Wars movies are listed as Sci-Fi (OK), and fantasy (?). Then all the LOTR moview are listed as action, adventure (but NOT fantasy). 2001 is listed as 'classic', but not Sci-Fi. So my project for the week is to go through and set up the genres how I think they should be.

No barcode scan support, have to manually search and add all collection titles to app. That's going to take forever. Other than this the app works as advertised.

Works ok but lately it never finds what movie I want to add... And it doesn't back up anymore... Their solution is to just use the web interface... I paid for an app!!! Make it work.

Do not buy this scam. In the beginning it was excellent. Now that they got the money you can't find any titles and you have to manually add the info. There are way superior apps with barcode scanners, unfortunately not for I-phone. I hope they improve this as I hate to have to manually enter the info. Had they said that they would not maintain the program, I would had not spent the time installing it.
