It does not search photos transferred from your Mac to a device. It quickly searched photos that originated on my iPad but did NOT search the 2k+ photos that where “from my Mac”and not in “my photo stream.” It didn’t seem to know they were on the iPad. Considering this app had to be purchased, that is pertinent information that should be mentioned in the app description.

It would be 5 star if you could get rid of more than dupes. Like all or triplicate etc.

The positive is it brings in a ton of photos and doesn’t crash. The big issue is the UI. Pictures appear next to each that match but you have to click once to select the pict and then AGAIN just to open it large. Once it opens, you can’t scroll back and forth through the matching photos. ALL the other apps do that. This makes you exit and then uncheck and then double click again. You forget the details of the first photo you viewed! Also, you should be able to delete all the photos in a group of you decide to. It’s ridiculous. I don’t mind paying for a app but make it work well. At least have the typical features others ha e PLEASE. I wish I didn’t buy it before trying it. Please fix the issues and it’ll be a 5 star app.

App finds over 50,000 duplicate images on iPhone 8S with latest iOS. What in the world is wrong with Apple’s phone sync? Why does every sync to laptop and iCloud produce more and more and more and more duplicate images? World’s most powerful company. Small army of the most talented coders that money can buy. How can this be? Should not even be possible. Anyway, Dupe Photos Fixer auto-selects over 40,000 unnecessary, disc space wasting images to delete. Great! But wait, there’s a glitch. No matter how many times I try and retry, app just spins and spins and ultimately fails. Does allow me to manually delete images a few at a time. Oh joy! Let’s see, at about 10 secs each shot that will take me roughly... 27.77 hours of clicking and waiting and clicking and waiting. Life with computers and overpriced hand held devices ain’t as glamorous as it was sposed to be. Just ain’t quite Star Trek yet. Damnit.

So I got the Mac version a long time ago and I rely on it more than any other photo program I’ve ever used. I love it. I knew I had to get the iOS app also. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I use it mainly on an iPad and I see it’s still only just the iphone app. Please optimize the app for the iPad Pro!! I’ve got 500gb of photos I need to work on lol

I just downloaded both apps and the other leading app shut my phone down each time I used it. However this app is great and easy to use. Good job.
