requires me to accept twice

Samandj

It makes me accept it two times on my phone if I’ve pre-opened the app. It does not allow the first swipe from the lock screen either- makes me key in my password and sends me a second notice that I have to accept as well. I’m pretty sure that’s not what 2-step notification is supposed to be about. Just one more irritation.

Infringes on more security than it saves

The web app forces to you run all JavaScript, run without a pop-up blocker, run without an ad blocker and to accept cookies from every site without a prompt. Even setting your browser to accept cookies from sites you visit intentionally DUO will not work unless you accept every cookie automatically. Moreover, it's a huge pain in the butt to have to find your phone every time you need to log in for work, but if someone steals your phone and connects to the protected site on company wifi DUO just lets them right in. Their sales pitch is "frustrate the bad guys, not your users" in reality it's the exact opposite of that.

Dismal Apple Watch Functionality

This app is okay for mobile use, but for the Apple Watch, it is heinous. The push request takes forever to get to the watch, then once you click "approve" nothing happens and the process times out.

Apple Watch fix needed

shareef777

Apple Watch fixed needed. Makes 2factor auto seamless! When it works, 2factor via Apple Watch is amazing. Makes me want to 2factor even my useless accounts. But alas, it doesn't work. You'll get the watch notification, but approving it doesn't do anything in the app. You still have to approve in your phone. Duo blames ios9 for the issues, but that's been out since September 2015!

Works

Could use a tweak: allow the app to auto rotate according to my orientation, cause it's a PITA to use otherwise. Thank u

iOS 9.3 fixed watch slowness!

Lyoko37

Looks like there must have been a bug in iOS or watchOS but iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2 have fixed any Apple Watch slowness and made it very snappy again!

Newest update to WatchOS and iOS seems to fix the issue.

Lock Screen Approval Not Working

PocketSidewalk

Great app. The only problem I have is that with the most recent version, when I swipe left to approve/deny a push from the lock screen, I am still required to unlock my phone. I don't see how this is really any different from lock screen notifications in the previous version which, when swiped left, forced you to unlock the phone and open the app. Lock screen behavior: Previous version was swipe, unlock phone, approve/deny from app. Current version is swipe, approve/deny from lock screen, unlock phone. Same number of steps required either way. It would be nice to be able to approve/deny without having to unlock phone.
