Lots of levels, good items, great sequel to the first! Please add more blood!
I was a fan of the original dungeon highway but this one even tops that! The walls on the first one was fustating to me and this on the trees and stuff is much better! I love the weapons you can get and this one is more customizable. I am going to be playing this for a very good time! Great game guys! Keep it up. :)
Based on this game and its predecessor, I'd say that Substantial is exactly as it sounds: A substantial game-making company. The original Dungeon Highway was often updated with new content to keep its players excited about the game and now this new rendition comes packed with a good blend of both the old and the new!
Super fun and extremely challenging! Even though each level is very short, the brutality of the game kept me playing for hours trying to unlock each weapon and level. Great job as always, I love it! Can't wait to see what's coming next.
The game was great for a day or two until I got to the 3rd or 4th ice level where I ran through the exit portal but the level didn't end, I kept moving into nothingness so I paused and hit main menu, which worked but the level wasn't beat. I then went to the shop and tried to upgrade a weapon but the button wouldn't work so I just tried to play the level again but I got there and it told me “welcome new dungeoneer” and my inventory was gone and still is. I went to the shop afterwards and nothing I had previously bought was owned and only the weapons category was there. Update :even worse... I reopened the game and the shop now tells me I have -5632 coins or something close to that so then I started the first level ( not the tutorial ) and my character showed up on a blank track with a little grass AND, not even joking, my characters sprite was the wizard from the FIRST dungeon highway game so I quit to the menu and heard a hyah sound.... I spent 1.99 on coins and I want my money back!!!
Love this game! The retro aesthetic is great and the soundtrack makes me actually want to listen from time to time :-)
It's just not as fun as the first game. I don't like the odd geometric shapes and the stacked enemies and the shop. Levels aren't even randomized. It also seems like blood has been tuned down. Really, there's nothing I like about this game! The controls feel better, but that's it. You're better off playing endless mode of the first DH game (which this game doesn't have by the way).
I love this game better than the first one because you get new levels and new worlds.
