In the full version, there are three settings for the latency values.
This free version is limited to one drum kit and the MIDI In notes are not programmable and have a static velocity level.
Plus it lacks all the pro features available in DrumsLive™, including full MIDI and VirtualMIDI support with enhanced learn mode, a full mixer with pan-pot, recording with selective overdub, quantization and humanizer, audio export to iTunes, E-mail, Dropbox and AudioCopy, Audiobus, iPod library support, stroke roll and much more!
The MIDI dynamics in DrumsLive™ Lite are set to 127, but in the full version you can play with all the dynamics (0-127) since there are more than 200 high-quality samples.
This Lite version, it is not recommended for live use, the dynamics are locked and there are no other settings for latency, features found in the full version for a fee.

Great "Touch" Drums, Not Good for "Live"

This is a really well implemented and thought-out drum app, and it has lots of features most other drum apps don't have, including full MIDI implementation. So 5 stars for all of that. But, even thought the latency is shaved down as much as possible, don't expect to use it for live MIDI-trigger-based drumming. The iDevices are simply not fast enough for that; latency will be long enough that it interferes with laying down a solid beat. So, if you want to play touch-based "finger" drums, I would say go for it!! If you want to use your iThing as a drum sound module for MIDI drumming, forget about it!!
