DreamZ is a revolutionary new app that allows you to realize that you are dreaming and control your dream, otherwise known as a Lucid Dream.
How does it work?
As you sleep you go through different phases, ranging from deep sleep to light sleep. The most interesting phase is the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phase, in which most dreams occur.
Based on your body movements while you're asleep, we are able to know the exact sleep phase you are in, using the built-in iPhone's sensors.
Studies show that during REM, our mind reacts to outside stimulation, such as light, sound or touch, and integrates them into the dream's content. Most of you probably experience a phone ringing during a dream which gets intertwined inside the dream.
DreamZ utilizes this fact and plays specially made audio cues as soon as you enter an REM sleep phase. After several dreams, our mind learns to connect the specific audio cue with the state of being inside a dream, which greatly increase the chances to gaining awareness inside the dream.

I purchased this on my iPod a year ago. I then got a iPhone and downloaded it again. The interface is simple and easy to use, and it's clear to me you did your research before making this app. However, the calibration never seems to work for me and I've never achieved a lucid dream (yet!), which is why I took one star away. Otherwise, great work!

Thanks to the recent update, the app doesn't play any sounds. None of the dream triggers make a sound, rendering the app useless! Please fix Update: it works sometimes now! Does the app need wifi in the background to work? That may be the reason why it sometimes does not work...

After months spent trying traditional lucid dream methods and about 100 on a led mask, this worked the first night on the second dream I had. The first time I awoke because it was too loud and turned it down. I heard the guys voice ask if I was dreaming and then tell me I just went to bed and ask how could this be. I then snapped into focus and went about stabilizing the dream, but after about 5 minutes looked into a mirror, scared myself and woke up. I look forward to tonight! If you have problems with waking up as soon as you become lucid google "dream stabilization techniques". Cheers!

The app works for a few minutes and then tho sound just stops and I have to go back and play it so I can't fall asleep with it on

I am not at all new to the art of lucid dreaming, but I did take a long break from it which led me to be unable to achieve a lucid dream for quite a few months. I just found this app last night and decided to give it a shot, and I had the best lucid dream I have ever had. I had never felt as in-control as I had a while utilizing this app. I was very surprised that it worked on the first night, and I'm very pleased. It's definitely worth the money! :)
Had promise, but mostly broken

This app had promise, but too many features just plain do not work at all such as, well, just about all of them, actually. The tracking of your sleep cycles is about the only feature that works for my iphone 5s, but the graph can only be read until the edge of your screen where it then draws some weirdness to finish out whatever hours were to be represented past that point and there is no scrolling feature so that you can view the rest of your graph. None of the timer features seem to work at all anymore, triggers never trigger and the alarm goes off, not when it was set to go off, but when I check the phone to see how long I have before the alarm sounds only to find that it is very late. There is also a feature that they flat out fail to explain and maybe that is because it has no functional use yet? If you tap a spot on your graph you will see that the app places a little black arrow where you tapped. It gives no further info, it doesn't even clarify the precise time of the position of the arrow which would actually be fairly useful for me as well as many others, I would imagine. So here it is: This is a paid app and it does not work as advertised. I can not recommend it to anyone as it does not, in either my case nor in my girlfriend's case (she has the app on her own phone and it is even a iphone 6) and the graph works just well enough to piss you off. If this app does not receive and update soon which addresses these app-breaking issues, I will be deleting this app and I will mark the developers for future avoidance. Had promise, but it isn't worth it as it stands.
