If the DreamScreen app ever leaves the foreground and returns from the background state, the app controls no longer work and I have to relaunch the app to be able to control the lights

Screen turns pink all the time

I find when I switch back and forth between different hdmi ports on my 3 port receiver, my screen will have a pink hue. I have to do this numerous times, or turn the unit off, before it resolves.

I tried for a week to get this app and system to work. Finally I paid the geek squad to come do it. Guess what? Still doesn’t work. If I want the colors to match the screen that doesn’t happen. The app crashes and so does the hub! I had to plug and unplug at least 10 times for the lights to work all around. But they still don’t sync. You developers really need to fix this. It’s not a cheap thing. For the money spent on this you should be calling me to troubleshoot and or FaceTime me.

Does not work properly on iPhone X

I have tried to add my dream screen multiple times and it makes it thru the setup but at the end nothing shows up as if nothing got added. When I do it on my wife’s iPhone 7 it works perfectly but not on the iPhone X. Please update to make this app compatible with the iPhone X

4K Edition still not 100% HDR compatible

I received my Dreamscreen around three months ago. I spent $60 on two new high end cables trying to problem solve. And I was told around 8 weeks ago the patch was rolling out to fix HDR color replication. I waited almost a year to get it, and I’m still not positive it’s ever going to work as advertised. I’m a super unhappy customer right now.

Won’t work on iPhone X anymore

Worked great until either a software update on Apple part or DreamScreen. The device won’t show up on my phone but it will on an iPad. Very annoying with no end in sight.

Overall this app does its purpose. It has good settings and mostly easy to use. I think there should be a few more ambient lighting options and a way to get true white for movie viewing instead of the blueish toned white. However, I’m all looks with this app right now and truth is that the all over design and UI of this app is very outdated. It really needs to be dusted off and redesigned for a more modern day fit to accommodate these Apple devices.

With as much as you pay for the product the app doesn’t offer a lot. If your watching a show you should be able to like create scenes and save them as presets or at least make your own or edit the whopping 9 presets there are.
