I downloaded this app for my son but it immediately crashes when I open it.

The app doesn’t even load on my kids iPad. It crashes as soon as it loads. I’m running the last version and I recently upgraded to iOS 11.2.6, but it continues to crash. Re-installing also doesn’t help.
