Amazingly Intricate Football Strategy

The only one star review was because there is no 1 player option. There are plenty of one player games on the iPad, and far too few games that let friends play together on the same iPad. This game is really simple, but that's the beauty of it. Beneath the simplicity there is a world of football strategy to explore, because you have complete control over what your players do. It's so exciting to create new plays on the fly, trying to guess what your opponent is going to do. It's so fun to try to tiime the pass just right. I played this with some friends last night and it was a total hit. Just to give you an idea of some of the things that can happen in the game: -You mistime a pass and the your friend plans the perfect coverage route and intercepts the ball -You time your pass perfectly and plan the perfect route, and your receiver catches the ball and goes in for the touchdown! -You decide to blitz the quarterback and send in every single player to get him. Sometimes you sack him, sometimes he passes the ball just in time to a receiver downfield and you have no one back there to stop him from running it in for a touchdown. -On offense you assign everyone to block while you run the ball around the right hand side. Your friend manages to get a few tacklers through your defenses, but you reroute your runner just in time to slip between them. He doesn't reroute quick enough and can't catch up with your runner. You would go all the way for a touchdown, but he wisely kept a few tacklers upfield who tackle you, but you still managed to get the first down. Yay! The beauty of this game is that you can focus on different aspects of your game depending on the situation. It's real-time, so each player is trying to frantically plan the perfect play before the ball is hiked. To sum up, this game REALLY feels like being a football coach and player at the same time. You plan the plays, but then in the heat of the moment, you may focus all your attention on one player to make sure he eludes the defenders. It's so exciting to play, and I can't recommend it enough. This is by far the funnest football game I have ever played.
