The kids just love this app. It is fun but very calming at the same time. I plan to see what else Ellie has.

Great Step Up from Color Dots

Mom of SN Child

My 10 yer old daughter with multiple disabilities loves Color Dots! It helped her go from just swiping pictures like she loves to do, to focusing on tapping a dot. Dot Collector is a great next step from that and has her focusing on a little more complex, yet still simple enough for her, task of moving the dots to a clear ending point of a black dot. Just started her with it today and she is showing signs of trying to focus on it and is interested in it! Great for kids like her with low vision as the borders on the dots make it stand out. Would love to see a settings option later like Color Dots had where the size could be changed as well.

I LOVE it!!! oh...and the kids do too! ;)

I have ALL of Ellie's games and I cannot say enough about them. They are brilliant in their simplicity yet provide excellent practice of fine motor coordination with a low-stress feel. Dot Collector is no exception! I absolutely LOVE that, although simple enough for a toddler to find successful, there is a certain amount of precision needed. My child with motor apraxia would be happy to get "close enough" to drop the dots but this provides him just enough challenge to stretch his skills without bringing on any frustration. And I really appreciate the musicality of this app. I find the audio on all of Ellie's Games apps to be pleasant and not over stimulating to the sensory-sensitive little people in my life. As always....YOU ROCK!!! *addition to review* my 10 yr old with fine motor issues (who, by the way is a "serious gamer") figured out he could grab more than one dot at a time. So now he uses all 10 fingers to grab as many at a time as possible to try to drop them all at once! This is awesome for developing his skills!!!

Love ♥♥♥

Ellie's games are all great! This one is wonderful, easy to play. The kids are having fun trying to pin down that dot with their finger and drag it :) It is not too simple for them at all. Love the different colors of dots and backgrounds, nice to let them practice their color idenitfication and they make the greatest noises as the dots get "collected"!

Daughter loves these!

My daughter LOVES Ellie's Games: dot collector, color dots, & number dots. Those are all we have so far..l She is almost 18 months old but started playing color dots around age 1 and just loved it, so we bought the others and she plays all three (among other games). Highly recommend for little ones. Thank you!

Basic fine motor development

This is a great app to use when you want to help students learn the motions needed to use an iPad. Some of my special education students have not been successful with a regular computer/mouse, but have quickly learned the swipe motions necessary it use an iPad by starting with this program. Simple, basic and no distracting graphics.

hand-eye coordination and fine motor!!
