I’ve had this map for about a yearr and a half and the community (with exceptions) and memes are great here. I recommend it to anybody looking for a good meme community

This use to be one of the best apps for memes you could get until the last year or so. The admims have really ruined the app with unnecessary and egomaniacal banning sprees and post deleting/privating. All actually memes are look down upon and normie/stale “memes” are rewarded. It’s truly unfortunate what happened to this app.

Admins and new user experience

It’s a know fact on the app, most admins don’t deserve to be admins. To new users who see this review don’t be discouraged by the admins and their admin abuse, the community is good and you’ll like it. Now the new user experience, the idea that has been being pushed is that new users don’t like the memes posted on picto, which from experience is untrue. Many things have been done to bring in new users which has helped the app grow but many of the internal actions to keep users pushes new and old out. No one likes admins who abuse their power and no one likes admins who don’t understand their demographic. Triple A developers understand their users better

Absolutely terrible. The administration uses the app as a way for them to assert their power and spread their own opinions. It used to be a really fun app. Not anymore. I don’t suggest to download it. Your posts will never see the popular page because the admins get rid of all the posts that aren’t theirs.

I have been on this app for many years and I have truly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, of late the Administrators of this app have been taking it into their own hands to “private” any post they don’t find funny to them. Unfortunately, because humor is subjective, they disagree with the vast majority of the app on what is funny, and private posts that otherwise might have made it to the popular page. The vast majority of these posts are made by active users, and much of it is original content they put thought and effort into. It’s unfair, and many old friends, acquaintances, and other popular and old users are leaving until the condition of the app changes. I shall replace my 1 star review with a 5 star if the app returns to it’s former state, and the community decides what is funny or not.

I’ve had Pictophile since 2016 and it has been good not only as a meme creator but also as a community. Features that I like include the sub-menu to switch from recent, private, and popular posts being in the top left. It’s out of the way, but easy to access and easy to used. Pictophile also has many features to allow users to comment, like, dislike, subscribe, and block content and users, which will allows me to tailor my experience to what I like. Although, I haven’t had to block anybody yet. The last and most important feature in why I originally got the app has to do with its meme creation applications. It has a video stitched, gif to video and vice versa functionality, and meme formats programmed in which are also very easy to use. I’ve since bought the premium version, although not necessary to use this app, it does provide extra features for the community aspect of the app such as adding a prefix or changing the background color of your text in the comment section. The features can be earned over time, but I’m impatient. Overall, I recommend this app and I plan to stay! I hope this review can give you an idea of what to expect! And thank you to the wonderful person who made this app!

Abusive admins, community that can’t fight back.

I’ve been on this app for years now. Never have I ever experienced a more corrupt, toxic, and abusive group of admins my entire life. Most simply lurk, but the others that will ban you ASAP are the ones who will private your posts and send their own posts to the popular page, banning any user who even dare to call out their random bans and abusing of admin powers. This community is fantastic, but it’s ruined thank’s to Derek’s unwillingness to tell any of his admins to stop abusing his own community. Constantly, users are being permanently banned for minor offenses, over and over again, and the owner will simply not even acknowledge this. Do not give money to Derek, do not even download this version until he decides that enough is enough. You’re going to destroy your community and app due to your own negligence.
